Today I brought a famous and delicious recipe. So, I am going to share with you how to cook water spinach easily at home.
This water spinach We are call in sinhala kangkong.
Actually, this can be introduced as a very popular dish among Chinese food. This can also be known as a having dish in Chinese restaurants. I knowed that water spinach chops is actually a popular dish in China from an employee at that restaurant. Although we often eat water spinach , I did not know that water spinach is such a popular dish. . Along with the Chinese food we ordered, we also got water spinach chops.. It was really delicious.
So while eating that food, I thought to share with you how to cook water spinach at our house. I hope this recipe will be useful for you .
Let me explain briefly about water spinach .
Known by the botanical name of convolvulaceae, these are popular green leaves in Sri Lanka as well as in countries like India, Philippines and Indonesia.
This plant can be easily grown in shady places with good water. And this plant can be propagated by cuttings. It can be grown in normal soil or loose soil with compost and we can grow it pots. The following pictures show how water spinach is grown in my home garden.

so today i am going show you how to cook stir fried water spinach recipe
what are ingredients

curry leaves | 01 springs |
pandan leaves | 01 |
red onion | 08 |
chili flakes | 1tsp |
turmeric powder | 1/2tsp |
salt powder | 1tsp |
unroasted curry powder | 1tsp |
fenugreek | 1/2tsp |
mustard | 1tsp |
coconut oil | 3tbsp |

First, break the water spinach leaves into pieces by hand

After Wash the leaves with salted water

Now put them in a separate bowl and add onions, green chilies , curry leaves and pandan leaves to it.
Now add chili flakes, fenugreek , unroasted curry powder ,turmeric powder, salt powder and mix.

Heat a pan on low flame and when it gets hot, add 3 tablespoons of coconut oil.

Now add mustard to it and after it heats up well, add garlic to it and fry well until golden

Now add water spinach to it. Cook in low flame for about 10 minutes. (close the lid)

After add the tomato to it. And mix
Water spinach is fried and finished. So you can make water spinach quickly and easily in this way. You can eat this for any meal in the morning, noon or night.
