In this post I will tell you about my experience when passing two extreme bends on the way home to Bireuen city, actually there are so many bends that must be passed on the way to Takengon city, but there are two bends that I remember the most because they often make me almost have an accident, one of which is the Tajuk enang-enang bend. I also took the time to stop at both bends so that I could take pictures from an angle that shows how extreme this bend is, but before that I will share some photos when I was still in Takengon city first.
I don't remember the exact location of this rice field area, but what is certain is that these are some views of the rice fields that I took from several different places but still in the area near the freshwater sea. For people who travel to the city of Takengon, this kind of view is probably what they see directly, but sometimes visitors don't have enough time to be able to go around the freshwater sea, the long distance coupled with the extreme route makes visitors have to think twice about doing it, but for me it is not too difficult to do because I am used to doing it.
Everything felt quite satisfying, especially during my vacation in Takengon city, but a bad feeling immediately appeared when I wanted to travel back to Bireuen city again, especially when it was already night, the many bends that I had to go through made me sometimes very lazy to do this trip, but there was no other choice because that was one of my efforts to achieve satisfaction.
Sometimes I also feel very lazy to travel to Takengon city, but not because of the far distance but because the route is very extreme. Look at some of the pictures above, then you will also be able to see how scary this bend is, we will not only pass the bend but we also have to go uphill, or more precisely an uphill bend, when traveling to Takengon city we will go up this bend, but when we return to Bireuen city then we will go down this bend.
I almost had an accident while on my way to Takengon city, at that time when I was climbing this bend, suddenly there was a motorbike from the opposite direction speeding, so that the motorbike almost hit me, because at that time I had to climb so I almost fell while avoiding the motorbike, fortunately there was no accident. I took a picture of this bend while on my way home to Bireuen city, I deliberately stopped at the corner of the bend just to be able to take a picture of it.
Apart from the extreme bends, there is one more thing that makes me feel scared when I imagine it, namely the ravines on the side of the road.
Trust me, I took this picture of the ravine from a motorbike, so it can be concluded that this ravine is indeed right on the edge of the road, but on the edge of the road there is also a guardrail, although not too high. I don't know how deep this ravine is, but I can't see clearly the objects at the bottom of the ravine, so you can conclude how deep this ravine is.
However, when passing through the road in this area we will be able to feel how amazing the tranquility given by nature, we can hear the sound of birds chirping, the scent of wildflowers, and the refreshing breeze. Something that has not happened is a mystery, but we must continue to try to always stay focused when riding a motorbike or car, and stop immediately when we start to get tired or sleepy.
And on the way to the city of Takengon we will also often find roads that are damaged by landslides, even worse to the point of causing half of the road to disappear due to landslides, and this area is also on an uphill road, but to photograph this incident I parked my motorbike far from the landslide location, and walked to photograph it."And speeding is strictly prohibited here".
And the most extreme bend in my opinion is still the Tajuk Enang-enang bend
Rain is a natural phenomenon that is most feared by people who want to pass through this bend because it will make the road very slippery, and brakes are the most important thing and must be maintained when we go down this winding bend, I myself have almost had an accident several times on this bend,so I am very familiar with this place and always prepare myself to pass through this extreme route.
