WALKING DOWN ON MEMORY LANE: BAGUIO FAMILY TRIP, 12.27.19

As I was scrolling through the pictures on my phone, I suddenly saw these photos from 5 years ago, and I decided to share our Baguio trip to you guys!

STRAWBERRY FARM

After our 5-hour trip from Tarlac to Baguio, we headed first to the strawberry farm. It was already noon when we arrived, and when we got out of the car with our jackets (cuz we expected for the weather to be cold), we did not expect that the weather there was warm. What we did there was we took a couple of pictures of the tourist spot, and bought strawberry ice creams, and strawberries. That was the first time that I've eaten strawberries. I'd expected that the strawberries would be sweet though but surprisingly, they were a bit sour.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

After we visited the Strawberry farm, we went to the Botanical Garden to eat lunch. It was getting a bit cooler, at last. We ate various kinds of dishes, and they were so delicious that I got so full. After we ate, we were strolling around the garden and saw some stores that sell souvenirs. We bought some of them and headed back to the restaurant where we ate.

CAMP JOHN HAY

After the Botanical Garden, we went to Camp John Hay, our last destination of the day. As we entered, we were greeted by lots of bubbles and foams, as if it was snowing. Me, together with my cousins were having fun playing with the floating bubbles and foams until they disappeared. After that, we went inside the building to have snacks. We ate clubhouse sandwiches, some drinks, and many foods that we hadn't eaten before. We stayed there until early at night.

MINES VIEW PARK

In the early morning, the next day, as we were headed to the Mines View Park, there was traffic and luckily, we made it in time. We first bought another souvenir like a jacket, then we headed to buy food and jams, which were strawberry and ube flavors. We also bought strawberry taho, and surprisingly, it was more delicious than the regular one. We also took pictures of the views.

TEACHER'S CAMP AND THE RESTAURANT

image.png

Before we said goodbye to Baguio, we passed through the Teacher's camp to take a picture. After that, we headed to the restaurant to have lunch. The restaurant was breathtaking because at the back, you can see the view of the mountains. Plus, the weather was cold at that time, so it was worth it.

So far, Baguio is my favorite place in the Philippines because of the comforting cold weather and its beautiful environment.
