So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “UNCENSORED”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “MAXIMUM EARNINGS”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on the idea of putting a cap on just how much people can earn. If people were told just how rich they could be, how badly would this affect the economy? There were those who spoke in favor of such a policy. However, many more were against it, for the simple reason that it just wasn’t fair.

We got to see just how people thought about this issue. Forcing people not to cross a threshold financially when they could very well do so would be a major issue and can lead to chaos because everyone would be demotivated from working more than the bare minimum.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w128e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

WEALTH CAP: A FAIR WORLD? by @nhaji01

This author told us that she doesn’t think a cap on earnings would be fair for anyone. She went on to say that we’re not created equal and society has pushed us all into different classes. A world where people can’t strive to be as rich as they want is one where people will lose the will to work hard and go the extra mile to become the best version of themselves.

THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO INEQUALITY by @elderdark

For this author, he believes that the world does have a problem, but imposing a threshold on how much people can earn will not be the solution. This is chiefly because the corrupt people in power would find a way to benefit from it and accumulate even more power. The problem of inequality may never be eradicated, however, so long as everyone can reach their full potential, the world will be sure to keep revolving.

DO WE NEED A CAP? @shawnnft

For this author, he clearly supports this current system where everyone can make as much money as they wish. Putting a cap on it will do nothing but ruin the economy and prevent people from growing as they very well should. Everyone has an equal chance to get to the top, getting in the way of some people would simply be unfair.

All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 Hive SBI each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.

But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:

Week 128 - Edition 03 Topic

UNCENSORED

*“We all know the dangers of some of the content found online. Especially when it comes to our kids and what we want them to consume. Who is really responsible for the censorship of the content? The owners of the platform or the parents of the children. Should the parents rigidly monitor what their kids consume? Or should the owners of the platform be more selective in the kind of content they allow on their platform? Which do you think will work best?”
