Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 112, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is “WE NEED BALANCE.”
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “THE IDEAL ADULT AGE.” This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us their thoughts on what they believed was the ideal adult age. Based on the level of maturity and responsibility, a lot goes into truly becoming an adult.
We got to see the different criteria that certified one as an adult. It’s different for everyone, and that’s why many people become mature way before their peers. This was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w112e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us that age didn’t really matter when it came to maturity. Being of age didn’t mean that someone was mature and could handle whatever it was that life brought to them. He also dropped scenarios citing the various walks of life where maturity would be required.
For this author, a lot goes into coming of age. It comes with its privileges and responsibilities. Like being old enough to drink alcohol and being old enough to vote. He said that there’s a difference between adulthood and maturity and just because someone is an adult, it doesn’t automatically make them mature.

This author shared with us her wish for the legal age in her country to be shifted to 21 years. One major reason is financial responsibility. At 18, not everyone is mature enough to handle their finances. And then, at that age, they’re at a better stage of life to handle careers and all the rigors that come with it.
