Why would someone goes on diet if they have a perfect body? Ok that question seems not fair. Can be for health as well, but for a monster like me, diet is just another excuse to eat more 😂 since we're in town, we decided to pay My Town, a new shopping mall in down town Kuala Lumpur.
Home minister suggested we're going to have dinner here at the mighty monster. It's pretty darn new to me, but I don't mind trying when restaurant's name sounded tasty and nasty!
Restaurant environment is pretty darn cozy and comfortable. At one glance, it feel like inside an old building with the wooden panel attached to the wall.
I'm not too sure where do they get this kind of old windows and doors, but they look genuinely old, probably from the 60's.
And it's been years since I last seen brass made utensils. The golden color make them stand out. Perhaps, before our food are served, we're already impressed and influenced by the impressive presentation already.
Boy got himself a fish and chips children portion. Despite its children portion, but the piece of fish is pretty darn good portion of protein.
Girl ordered a fried rice. I wasn't really expect this type of presentation. The fired rice was ok, but it was fried with ginger I think, therefore it doesn't really match the taste bud of the young lady. She didn't finish the whole dish, so I actually got to enjoy half of that fried rice portion.
I am as usual a big breakfast guy, but I saw bacon and eggs, so I decided to ditch the Biggie and go with beef bacon. Changed the poach egg to scramble eggs and happily whack the whole thing.
Hominister ordered a pasta, but we're too busy eating and forgot to snap a photo of her linguini carbonara. We also ordered a glass of chocolate caramel. I guess I made a bad decision since the caramel has a little bitterness to it, so the kids wasn't really impressed with it.
Other than the tiny bit of discomfort due to wrong decision, food is actually pretty good for my monster appetite. Price tag is a little bit on the high side, but I guess it's ok to blow the wallet once in a while and enjoy some crazy meal before going home since traffic in Kuala Lumpur is pretty bad until after dinner hours.
