Last month, we introduced two new contests to the FreeCompliments community! These contests are the Monthly Engagement Contest, to measure who provided the most total engagement to the community (in terms of posts, comments, and threads with the #freecompliments tag), and the Monthly Promotion Contest, to determine who onboarded the most members to the community over the course of the month.
Winner of the Monthly Engagement Contest
This was a tough call because we found that those who engaged in one form were less likely to engage in other forms (i.e. someone who posted more was likely to comment or post Threads). In view of this, we kept in mind that, generally, posts take more effort and time than comments, but did not favor posts exclusively. In addition to quantity, we also considered the quality and uniqueness of posts, comments, and threads.
Keeping all of these factors in mind, the overall winner of the Monthly Engagement Contest is: @city-of-berlin! Congratulations – you win 5 HSBI, 1000 Ecency points, and 5 DVS!
Honorary Mentions: @florakese and @luchyl – you both did a fantastic job! Even though runner-up rewards weren’t originally mentioned, we want to encourage strong participation, so for your hard work, you’ll get 3 HSBI apiece.
Monthly Promotion Contest
Unfortunately, we never got any mentions from anyone regarding who was brought into the community by current members. We know that you’re out there… there have definitely been successful referrals. We’ve sent a few prompts to let us know as soon as possible, but to date, we just don’t have a clue how they came about. Thus, this month, nobody wins the monthly promotion contest.
While I honor humility above mst other traits, I want you guys to openly take credit for your achievements so that you can receive the rewards you deserve! It’s ok to do so… that’s why this contest was established.
I do hope that more people will speak up in the future so that we can have a winner!
Conclusion
These two contests are intended to increase quality engagement and spread the word about the FreeCompliments Community. We now have our very first winner for the Monthly Engagement Contest, but are still looking to find our first winner for the Monthly Promotion Contest. Until next month, my friends!
