Just yesterday, I mentioned that I had climbed to a rank of 1840, needing only 60 more points to unlock the Gold League鈥攎eaning just three consecutive wins would have done the trick. However, it took me the better part of two days鈥攁nd well over 50 battles鈥攖o finally unlock it. Imagine playing more than 50 matches just to secure those three consecutive wins; the grind was so intense that I actually felt frustrated at one point and considered taking a day or two off from the game. Thankfully, though, I managed to unlock the Gold League before the end of the second day.
Along with this, I received a "Welcome Loot" package that had improved as my rank increased; it now included 7 Minor and 4 Major Chests. I usually don't expect much from these Welcome Loot drops鈥攁nd honestly, ever since I stopped having high expectations, I鈥檝e actually been getting comparatively better rewards. I鈥檓 not sure if it鈥檚 just my perception or if something has genuinely changed, but back when I used to have expectations, I was never satisfied with the rewards. Those earlier rewards were quite basic鈥攎ostly consumables rather than cards鈥攚hich didn't really appeal to me. Now, however, without those expectations, I鈥檓 getting fewer consumables and more actual cards. Just yesterday, I showed you the rewards for unlocking Silver Tier 1鈥攚hich consisted mostly of various card copies鈥攁nd today, the loot from unlocking Gold Tier 3 also yielded mostly cards. While they are just common, basic cards, I am satisfied with them, and that鈥檚 what matters.
Now, let's talk about the rewards. From this haul, I received one Legendary potion and 493 Merits, along with six Magic cards and two Rare cards. Among them, I got two copies of a Death element card, making it ready to upgrade from Level 1 to Level 2. The others are single copies; notably, Surgeblade, Cullborn Revenant, and Oshannus Unmade are among my favorite cards for battles. As for the Rare cards, Swampwrought and Pixie-knife Hurler seem like excellent choices to me鈥擨 already have both upgraded to Level 2, where their stats are significantly better than the base versions. So now, with these new copies, the journey to upgrade them to Level 3 begins. There are still about four days left in the season, and I aim to unlock higher tiers within the Gold League; if I succeed, I will certainly keep you updated.
