Hello friends! I'm here again with my next entry in the weekly splinterlands art contest.
En esta ocasión trabajé con la carta de un Tiranosaurio Rex llamado Rexxie.
On this occasion I worked with the letter of a Tyrannosaurus Rex named Rexxie.
Para mi diseño de Rexxie me he inspirado un poco en los dinosaurios de Parque Jurásico, haciendo a un Rexxie más realista, con una apariencia dominante y un toque de agresividad en su expresión.
For my Rexxie design I have been inspired a little by the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park, making a more realistic Rexxie, with a dominant appearance and a touch of aggression in his expression.
Debo mencionar que mi version de Rexxie está hecha al estilo pixel art, arte digital y para esta ocasión usé un lienzo de 200 x 256 px, tamaño que me permitió darle todos los detalles que deseaba hacerle.
I should mention that my version of Rexxie is made in the pixel art style, digital art, and for this occasion I used a 200 x 256 px canvas, a size that allowed me to give it all the details I wanted to give it.
Inicié creando el boceto de Rexxie con pixeles de color negro y posteriornente agregué el color base, el cual fué un verde claro.
I started by creating Rexxie's sketch with black pixels and later added the base color, which was a light green.
Con un color mas oscuro al color base le hice algunas sombras, en algunos espacios usé un tramado de pixeles, con el objetivo de darle textura y dimension.
With a darker color than the base color I made some shadows, in some spaces I used a pixel pattern, with the aim of giving it texture and dimension.
Al igual que las sombras las luces jugaron un papel muy importante y para ello usé un verde claro y blanco, para hacer la piel del dinosaurio más brillante.
Like the shadows, the lights played a very important role and for this I used a light green and white, to make the dinosaur's skin brighter.
En este punto ya solo quedaba trabajar la lengua y los dientes del dinosaurio.
At this point all that was left to do was work on the dinosaur's tongue and teeth.
Le hice un fondo con rayas verticales y un marco y al pie del marco le puse su nombre, "Rexxie".
I made him a background with vertical stripes and a frame and at the bottom of the frame I put his name, "Rexxie".
