Hello Hive gaming community! My Splinterlands game continues to progress in a good way. My cards continue to increase and I got two new epic in the Death and Earth element.

⚔️🛡️ New Epic Card: Lenore Nevermore 🛡️⚔️

image.png

I have many new cards but one stands out is the new epic card Lenore Nevermore. It's a card that has two attacks and six mana. It has a higher attack than Moros Malik who is also a six mana card with range attack. Lenore will replace Moros in my team.

⚔️🛡️ New Epic Card: Glimmermancer 🛡️⚔️

The other new epic card is Glimmermancer. It's a magic card that has two attacks and six mana. Earth is more on high mana melee units and ranged units. I haven't had a chance to try Glimmermancer yet.

⚔️🛡️ New Guild: Pizza A Slice of Madness 🛡️⚔️

I transferred to a new guild that I found on Splinterlands discord. My new guild is Pizza A Slice of Madness. They are also linked to the other game I play, Moon.

The great thing about my new guild is they allow me to join brawls. The leader assigned me to fray 1 and I have just started my first brawl. It's exciting to join and I'm hoping to not disappoint.

⚔️🛡️ Matches 🛡️⚔️

image.png

I will complete this post with some matches I recently played.

⚔️🛡️ 28 Mana 🛡️⚔️

I copied the strategy from an opponent I fought before. This is about using a card's ability more than its attacking power. The star in this match is Scales of Justice. It has no attack but it made me win the match.

Featured Cards

  • Scales of Justice has no attack. It is fast and has a high chance to dodge attacks. I put it in first position.

  • Spellmonger also no attack. It can do damage if attacked by melee with its Thorns ability.

  • Ember Roast Sow has one attack for four mana.

  • Echelon also has one attack for four mana.

  • Ash Archer has two attack for five mana.

My team is made up of units with low mana so I had five units. My opponent has higher level cards but I had the better strategy and more cards. Scales of Justice dodged attacks many times and Spellmonger took out the opponent's Vengeful Monk.

⚔️🛡️ More Mana Does Not Guarantee a Win 🛡️⚔️

image.png

The match has a very high mana of 95. It looks good to put the higher mana cards to maximize the mana usage but it's not so. I learned from losing matches that lower mana cards can be used for better strategy. I have many opponents who use the same strategy and I copied from them.

Featured Cards

  • Frankarsgard the tank. It has good stats of two attack, armor, eight health and two speed.

  • Chaos Furybringer is a good partner for Frankarsgard. It can reach and attack from behind.

  • Great Bear Druid has two attacks of magic and melee.

  • Lunaki Howler has one magic attack.

  • Vengeful Monk has two attack and opportunity ability.

  • Spellmonger no attack but has Thorns.

We have the same cards except that my opponent used New Beluroc Aegis who has eight mana and I used Spellmonger who has only four mana and no attack. My strategy was to defeat the opponent's Vengeful Monk while I keep mine. He will have one less unit that has an attack of two. I did not maximize the mana usage but my strategy (that I copied) won the match.
