Hoy me complace en participar en el concurso de la comunidad de #foodiesbeehive, iniciado por la amiga @sirenahippie, la cual le envio mis saludos, ella nos pide que preparemos una bebida tradicional de tu país y su historia, así que ya preparo mi bebida de una chicha de pasta.
Today I am pleased to participate in the #foodiesbeehive community contest, initiated by friend @sirenahippie, which I send my regards, and asks us to prepare a traditional drink from your country, and its history, so I already prepare my drink of a chicha of spaghetti.
En el esplendor de los noventa, se manifestaron en la cuidad de Maracaibo franquicias de “chicheros” y se popularizó la bebida elaborada con sémola de trigo, conocida como “chicha de pasta”, porque resultaba más barato y rápido de preparar que la chicha de arroz, además la bebida queda más espesa y sin grumos.
Chicha is that drink so popular in my country, delicious for its creaminess and rich flavor. The most traditional is the one made with rice and cinnamon, although as time goes by, the combinations with chocolate syrup, arequipe and condensed milk make it more irresistible. Everyone consumes it in their own way, I like it with everything, in my city of Cumaná, they have also made it with other ingredients such as yucca chicha, ocumo, spaghetti, and pineapple.
In the boom of the nineties, in the city of Maracaibo there were franchises of "chicheros" and the drink made with wheat semolina, known as "chicha de pasta", became popular, because it was cheaper and faster to prepare than rice chicha, also the drink is thicker and without lumps.
100 g de pasta (150 palitos de espaguetis)
1 Pizca de sal
3 tazas de leche liquida
1 taza de azúcar
Esencia de vainilla
Canela en polvo
Leche condensada.
Hielo
100 g of pasta (150 spaghetti sticks)
1 pinch of salt
3 cups of liquid milk
1 cup of sugar
Vanilla essence
Cinnamon powder
Condensed milk.
Ice
- Primero preparamos la pasta, coloque cinco tazas de agua sin sal, al hervir bajar a fuego lento y agregar los 100 g de pasta; cocinar por 25 minutos a fuego medio. Retirar del agua y escurrir.
First we prepare the pasta, place five cups of unsalted water, when boiling lower to low heat and add the 100 g of pasta; cook for 25 minutes over medium heat. Remove from the water and drain.
- Seguidamente colocar en la licuadora la pasta con el agua, mezclar unos minutos hasta que se disuelva y no se vean grumos.
Next, place the paste with the water in the blender and blend for a few minutes until it dissolves and no lumps are visible.
- Una vez licuada la pasta añadir la la leche y la vainilla y la azúcar; aumentar gradualmente la velocidad de la licuadora y verificar que no queden grumos. Llevar al refrigerador por varias horas hasta que espese y enfrié.
Once the paste is blended, add the milk, vanilla and sugar; gradually increase the speed of the blender and verify that there are no lumps. Place in the refrigerator for several hours until it thickens and cools.
My chicha is ready, very thick and delicious, I added the cinnamon powder and condensed milk, now to cool down. Nothing better than enjoying one of your favorite foods, and if it is in the company of important and special people, it is super.
