Hello, friends especially foodies!
I am a chocolate maniac, i really loved chocolate since my childhood time but i never gone to a chocolaterie or chocolate factory yet, but thanks God, last Saturday i had an opportunity to go to a chocolaterie which was located on the second floor of the Brasco Factory Outlet, in Puncak area, Cipanas, West Java. I went there with my family, my aunt and her husband.
When i first arrived there the hanging small cute pictures welcomed me. They showed woodland creatures enjoying chocolate and sweets which were made from or contained chocolate. The woodland creatures were bear, racoon, fox, hedgedog and deer. They were cute, like the pictures for the nursery.
And not far you could also find the photobox, it was kind of wooden box with the glass magazine cover look big window. So if you took a picture there it was kind of being a magazine cover for the chocolate theme magazine. Nice, isn't it?
Their chocolate production house was quite large, some workers were working on chocolate inside although it was already around 7 pm.
To go to their chocolate store we needed to pass through their chocolate production area. They were sterile and also located behind their large glass window, so you could see the activities they did inside. Like, on a window, a woman processing the white chocolate inside.
Also we could see the chocolate production area, where they made the chocolate like cooked it well. They also used chocolate mold as you could see inside. I also could see microwave and other utensils for making chocolate which i am not familiar with. Sorry, but maybe you are familiar than me and could help me with those utensils?
A woman was processing the chocolate bomb. Well beside using the mold they also processed it manually to make the bomb neat at its' middle. The woman use the knife to neat it. As you could see that inside the chocolate bomb there were marshmallow and chocolate powder while outside was the chocolate sphere. Next to it there were chocolate truffle in red and chocolate with green stripes on the top, i wonder that they were strawberry and mint flavour, maybe...
Right in front of the chocolate production area, they showed the facts about chocolate that they hung on the wall. It also showed the history of chocolate and so on.
Two of the examples of the pictures showed how cacao can lift our spirits, that improved our endorphins, anandamide, serotonin and phenylethylamine. Next to it that chocolate is food of Gods.
Some showed us to keep healthy and eat more chocolate plus that chocolate could reduce risk for the colone cancer.
Their pictures on the wall remind me of the museum, yes they made it kinda museum before we could arrive to the chocolate store.
Now for their chocolate store, they had roll cake on their chilling showing case, there were some variants like double cheese, chocolate ganasche, seaweed chicken floss and nougat.
They also still had kind cute chocolate in some shapes such as sheep, penguin, bear, rabbit, cupcakes, and some other cute creatures.
They sold some chocolate spoon, also accompanied with cute creatures like penguin or sheep plus marshmallow.
But if you want the real chocolate without thinking about the cuteness, they also sold their chocolate coins and also chocolate bars on their other shelf.
Beside chocolate, if you want to buy some chips or even popcorn, they had it all too. We could see they even had some veggie chips like made of spinach, potato, sweet potato, kind of peanuts, and so on. So if you don't want to buy chocolate or any products contained it, you could just have some other products too.
After we paid for some roll cakes we bought...
We found out that they also had some samples for the chocolate coins in three variants of their dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. These samples were next to their truffles showing case area. After trying their chocolate coins...
We then decided to have some to eat at home too, so we bought it.
The things we bought there when we had it at home were their roll cake in chocolate ganasche (my favorite, they didn't use any cream but only chocolate there, it had chocolate rich flavour with soft smooth roll cake, even around it were all chocolate, my kind of cake!) but no worries if you are not a chocolate maniac like me maybe you could try their nougat roll cake which had nougat peanut around it and had peanut cream to roll it, it had peanut savory sweet flavour. While their chocolate coin had sweet bitter flavour cause we chose the dark chocolate variant one.
