HEALTHY DRUMSTICK SPLIT YELLOW LENTILS SOUP

There are so many types of soups are made by people throughout the world. Today I am going to share a post about how to prepare a healthy drumstick split yellow lentils soup. We like this soup because it can protect our body from disease like diabetics. This healthy soup because the ingredients are used in this soup having so many vitamins and minerals. The main ingredient is drumstick. Drumstick is a plant species , we can eat everything from this plant like leaves, flowers, stems, and it has rich in vitamins and minerals. We can tell that this vegetable is a super food.

The process of making soup is very simple and easy also and you can make this soup within a span of time. Preparation time period is very less and one more thing is all the ingredients are used in this soup, almost all are available in our kitchen. Only thing is we have to purchase the vegetables from the market or store. The process of making soup is very simple easy.

Phase -I : Collection of all the ingredients.

The main Ingredients of this soup are

  • Lentils 100 grams (Red/Yellow). The taste will vary.
  • 4 numbers of drumsticks. Chopped it like finger pieces.
  • 4 Numbers small Tomatoes. Chopped it 4 pieces each.
  • Rock salt or Pink Salt, 1 teaspoon. As per you taste.
  • Turmeric powder half teaspoon
  • Water 1 litre or 5 cups
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves, chopped it 3 pieces each clove.
  • Ginger - 5 grams, Chopped it tiny pieces.
  • Green Chili - 3 to 4. Chopped into small pieces
  • Coconut Powder or grated coconut 10 to 15 grams
  • Cooking oil or olive oil 7 to 8 ml
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Five grams cumin
  • Three grams black pepper powder
  • Tomato or Chili Sauce (as per your Taste)

Phase -II : Preparation of Soup

  1. At first I washed the lentil cleanly with the help of water, and cook it for 5 minutes in the small pressure cooker.
  2. Took a deep frying pan and cook the drumstick, with help of 2 cup or 400 ml water. Add salt turmeric powder in it. Again add salt and chopped tomato in it. Then cook it for 5 minutes.
  3. Once it boiled, then mix both cooked split yellow or red lentil with it.
  4. After that finely chopped green chili, Ginger in tiny pieces, and garlic cloves in to three to 4 pieces.
  5. We added grinned coconut or coconut powder for making a paste.
  6. Then we took 6-8 ml cooking oil in a deep frying pan. Hot the oil in low flame. Once the oil is hot, we put some cumin seed on the oil. After few seconds we added the chopped garlic cloves, Chopped green chili on it. After 1 minute we added tiny pieces of ginger on it. Once it properly fried, we added the paste on it and cook for 2 minutes. At last we added the mixture of drumstick and yellow lentil to it. Then we added some coriander leaves on the soup.
  7. Soup was ready for serve in hot or warm.
  8. As per our taste purpose , we added some black pepper on to it. If required you can add also Tomato or chili sauce.

This time, i am not sharing any music video of this post, because the process of making this soup is straight forward and process is not that much complex.
