Un milagro para Alma (Esp/Ing)

Saludos, queridos lectores.

El último mes y medio ha estado lleno de muchas emociones, risas e inevitables lágrimas. Y no es para menos cuando la salud de nuestra pequeña Alma estaba comprometida. En ocasiones, la angustia llegó, instalándose en nuestra casa y mente. Sin embargo, me sostuve de la fe más profunda que pudiera albergar dentro de mí. Eso me ayudó a sobrellevar las distintas situaciones que se nos presentaron. Con firmeza y convicción exploramos cada trayecto hacia donde fuimos encaminados. Fue así como tocamos la puerta de distintos entes gubernamentales.

Greetings, dear readers.

The last month and a half has been filled with many emotions, laughter and inevitable tears. Not least when our little Alma's health was compromised. At times, anguish came, settling into our home and mind. However, I held on to the deepest faith I could harbor within me. That helped me through the various situations that came our way. With steadfastness and conviction we explored each path we were led to. That is how we knocked on the door of different governmental entities.

Recuerdo que un jueves a eso de las ocho de la noche, mi esposa recibió una llamada que cambiaría el rumbo de nuestra historia. La Vicepresidencia se había puesto en contacto con nosotros y estudiaría el caso de la bebé. Nos solicitaron los informes médicos y el presupuesto de la clínica donde se llevaría a cabo la operación. Hicimos cada paso requerido y, ansiosos, esperamos la respuesta. Solo transcurrieron 24 horas cuando nos confirmaron que habían pagado la operación. Mi esposa y yo no podíamos creer tal noticia, mis ojos se nublaron de felicidad. Después de tantas noches de desvelo, había un paso contundente hacia la recuperación de la salud de nuestra hija.

I remember that one Thursday at about eight o'clock at night, my wife received a call that would change the course of our story. The Vice-Presidency had contacted us and would study the baby's case. They asked us for medical reports and a quote from the clinic where the operation would be performed. We did every step required and anxiously awaited the answer. It was only 24 hours later when they confirmed that they had paid for the operation. My wife and I could not believe the news, my eyes were blurred with happiness. After so many sleepless nights, there was an important step towards the recovery of our daughter's health.

Estábamos ante la presencia de un milagro. Miré al cielo y agradecí profundamente, solo nos queda devolver el favor sirviendo a otros y ayudar cuanto sea posible. Mi fe siempre estuvo intacta, pero ahora está renovada y más gloriosa. La consolidación de esta noticia tan maravillosa no solo fue gracias a nuestra familia y amigos, fuera del mundo virtual, sino a ustedes, con quiénes tenemos lazos de hermandad y sincero afecto. Por eso, reitero las gracias por tanto cariño. Cada esfuerzo sumó para que la operación de nuestra pequeña abejita se materializara. Siéntense orgullosos de este gran logro, porque también son parte de él.

We were in the presence of a miracle. I looked up to heaven and was deeply grateful, it only remains for us to return the favor by serving others and helping as much as possible. My faith was always intact, but now it is renewed and more glorious. The consolidation of this wonderful news was not only thanks to our family and friends, outside the virtual world, but to you, with whom we have ties of brotherhood and sincere affection. Therefore, I reiterate my thanks for so much affection. Every effort added up to make the operation of our little bee materialize. Be proud of this great achievement, because you are also part of it.

Seguimos confiando en Dios y en la pronta recuperación de Alma. Son bienvenidos los buenos deseos, nos llenan de vitalidad y recargan nuestras energías para continuar. Vamos con cautela, pero con paso firme. Agradezco todas las oraciones. Nuestra hija es una pequeña guerrera que nos ha dado grandes lecciones a su corta edad. Aprenderemos de ella y avanzaremos en pro de su bienestar, gloria a Dios por la vida de Alma Miuriel.

We continue to trust in God and in Alma's speedy recovery. Good wishes are welcome, they fill us with vitality and recharge our energies to continue. We go cautiously, but with firm steps. I am grateful for all the prayers. Our daughter is a little warrior who has given us great lessons at her young age. We will learn from her and move forward for her well-being, glory to God for the life of Alma Miuriel.
