There she lay in the dark, looking like a shell of herself and feeling even worse on the inside. All it was going to take for her to burst into tears was for anyone to simply ask how she was doing. The tears were struggling to come out but she used the tiny will power she had left, to hold them back. Life was seriously dealing with her and she didn’t realize how much the stress had gotten to her till now.

She didn’t know what to do so she cried and cried and cried to her heart’s content. Then prayed and slept off...

Life is in fact not a bed of roses! It is more like a rose stem… with fewer petals than thorns.

There is always going to be a time of happiness and a time of sadness in life. And when they both come we need to remind ourselves that the moment is temporary so that we make the most out of it.

In my moments of tribulations, the first thing that comes to mind "Baby girl let it out, just cry". Now you might think that I’m just being a child or a typical woman, or even that I’ve never encountered real life problems. I’m not going to argue with you on that. I am going to say though that a hundred percent of the time I have cried, I feel way better afterwards.

Crying helps by giving me a way to relieve my stress and calm my nerves. It grants me a clear head to think and restrategise. I’m definitely sure there is some scientific fact to back this up because it works every single time. So the next time you’re riled up and looking for a means of easing yourself, look for a safe space and/or a person you trust and have a good old cry… or not.

Another thing I do when things don’t seem sure is to pray. I mean God is my Creator and He knows it all so it only makes sense to talk to him and tell him how I feel. And there are so many ways to talk to him too, you don’t always have to kneel down and pray to reach him. You could pick up a bible and read the scriptures. It has this way of giving you renowned focus and reassurance. You could also just meditate and seek His face.

Finally, when I really want to thinks things over, I take a long walk. Walks are mad therapeutic, especially when your mind is all over the place. It has to be a lonely walk too so that you won’t have any distractions. I love to talk my walks in my school campus at night when the air is cold and quiet. I can hear myself think.

From the story above, do you think she felt better when she woke up and faced her struggles like the warrior that she was? Yes she did.

After I woke up, it felt like I had gained some form of heavenly strength and clarity. All of a sudden the things that had previously bothered me gravely seemed like a piece of cake.

I had tried to reach out to people for help but somehow everyone was busy. In the moment I felt betrayed and alone but I’m grateful it happened the way it did as it helped me realize I could handle anything on my own.
