Hello, food lovers here in the Hive Food community!
Today I’m excited to share one of our most loved recipes... The Chicken Liver Adobo! 💙
My hubby and I both have low blood pressure, so keeping our iron levels up is really important for our health. Chicken liver is one of the best foods we can eat as it’s packed with iron, vitamins, and nutrients.
So now, let me share exactly how I make our favorite Chicken Liver Adobo...
Ingredients:
• ½ kilo chicken liver
• ¼ cup soy sauce
• 1 medium red onion, sliced
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons vinegar
• 2 tablespoons cooking oil
• ¼ cup water
Let's Cook!
First, I heat some oil in a pot until it's hot. Then I put in the chicken liver and fry it until it turns golden brown on all sides.
Once done, I take it out and set it aside. This step gives it a tasty and firm texture.
In the same pot with a little oil left, I put in the garlic and onion, then cook them slowly until they become soft and transparent.
Next, I put the fried chicken liver back into the pot with the onions and garlic. Then I pour in the soy sauce, water, whole peppercorns, white vinegar, and just a little bit of sugar.
Then I give it a light mix, bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes, until the liver is fully cooked and tender.
And that’s it!
This dish is salty, savory, and has that classic adobo taste.
Every bite is not just tasty, but also good for our bodies.
So, whether you need an iron boost or just want a simple, satisfying meal, this recipe is perfect for you. Give it a try, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Until my next cooking...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
