El día de ayer, me toco salir de casa muy temprano, ya que tenía que acompañar a mi mamá para el centro de la ciudad, para hacer algunas diligencias y estaba seguro de que íbamos a tardar un par de horas hacer todas esas actividades, sin embargo, antes de salir de casa desayunamos un poco más temprano de la hora normal, donde luego de realizar las primeras actividades y caminar varias cuadras por el centro, pasamos al frente una de las cafeterías que a menudo vamos a tomar café, así que para recuperar energía y descansar un poco de la caminata hicimos una parada allí para así disfrutar de otro pequeño desayuno y pasar un rato agradable con mi mamá. Fue algo inesperado que salió increíble y todos disfrutamos de esa gran combinación de sabores.
Yesterday, I had to leave home very early, since I had to accompany my mother to the city center, to do some errands and I was sure that it would take a couple of hours to do all those activities, however, before leaving home we had breakfast a little earlier than normal, where after doing the first activities and walking several blocks through the center, we passed in front of one of the cafeterias where we often go to have coffee, so to recover energy and rest a little from the walk we made a stop there to enjoy another small breakfast and spend some quality time with my mom. It was something unexpected that came out amazing and we all enjoyed that great combination of flavors.
La cafetería es una de la más reconocida en Monagas, por el trayecto y el tiempo que lleva ofreciendo sus servicios, en incluso en unos post anteriores le compartí una reseña de la misma, además sus cafés son una grande delicia. La cafetería es conocida como Pastelería Monagas, esta es la primera sede oficial y queda ubicada en el centro de la ciudad, una ubicación que es perfecta, ya que le permite una gran visibilidad, además está abierta toda la mañana y gran parte de la tarde.
Un lugar que es muy amplio donde esta vez nos sentamos en una mesa pequeña y desde que uno entra a ese lugar el olor a café es muy grande y uno le provoca tomarse unos cuantos de esos cafés. De inmediato nos atendieron con mucha amabilidad, cariño y nos dieron el menú de dicha cafetería, la cual cuenta con una gran lista de productos, la cual está dividido por secciones, es decir lo salado, lo dulce, los cafés para que sea una mejor manera de leer y ubicar los productos. Los precios van desde 1.50 $ en adelante, eso dependerá de lo que se ordene, pero nosotros queríamos algo sencillo, pero rico.
The cafeteria is one of the most recognized in Monagas, due to the distance and the time it has been offering its services, even in a previous post I shared a review of it, in addition its coffees are a great delight. The cafeteria is known as Pastelería Monagas, this is the first official headquarters and it is located in the center of the city, a location that is perfect, since it allows great visibility, it is also open all morning and much of the afternoon.
A place that is very spacious where this time we sit at a small table and from the moment you enter that place the smell of coffee is very strong and you feel like having a few of those coffees. They immediately attended us with great kindness, affection and gave us the menu of said cafeteria, which has a large list of products, which is divided into sections, that is, the salty, the sweet, the coffees so that it is a better way to read and locate the products. Prices range from $1.50 and up, that will depend on what is ordered, but we wanted something simple, but rich.
Lo ordenado para esta pequeña visita que hice con mi mamá, fueron algunos pastelitos, para volver a desayunar y continuar con las actividades, así que en mi caso ordene un Croissant, la cual estaba relleno de jamón y queso, eso fue el que me provocó, ya que tenía algo de tiempo que no comía uno de esos. El pan del croissant, están muy bueno, además con el relleno logro hacer una gran combinación y lo más importante es que lo tostaron un poco ni tan quemado ni tan blanco, la cual permito que el queso se derritió logrando un sabor increíble. Cada mordisco de ese croissant valió la pena, esta vez no pedí café, sino un vaso de jugo, que también estaba muy delicioso y refrescante para el calor que estaba haciendo.
What was ordered for this little visit that I made with my mom, were some pastries, to go back for breakfast and continue with the activities, so in my case I ordered a Croissant, which was filled with ham and cheese, that was what provoked me, since I had not eaten one of those for a while. The croissant bread is very good, also with the filling I managed to make a great combination and the most important thing is that they toasted it a little, neither so burnt nor so white, which allowed the cheese to melt, achieving an incredible flavor. Every bite of that croissant was worth it, this time I didn't order coffee, but a glass of juice, which was also very delicious and refreshing for how hot it was.
Mi mamá ordenó unos pastelitos de queso, estos son los tradicionales de masa de hojaldre, la cual siempre serán lo máximo y esos que pido, se veían muy ricos y provocativo, lo único malo de esos pastelitos de hojaldre es que son algo pequeños y con tan solo algunos mordiscos se termina. Lo bueno es qué había una promo un poco más caro, pero eran dos pastelitos y un vaso de jugo, así que ella disfrutó de un desayuno que jamás se imaginó y muchos menos cuando estábamos haciendo esas diligencias en el centro de la ciudad.
My mom ordered some cheesecakes, these are the traditional puff pastry, which will always be the best and those that I ask for, they looked very rich and provocative, the only bad thing about those puff pastry is that they are somewhat small and with just a few bites it's over. The good thing is that there was a slightly more expensive promo, but it was two pastries and a glass of juice, so she enjoyed a breakfast that she never imagined, much less when we were running those errands in the center of the city.
Para continuar y no podía irme sin probar algunos de esos dulces, pedimos unos para los dos, la cual fue un pan dulce que tenía crema pastelera con algo de arequipe por cima, logrando así una gran combinación de sabores dulces. Lo bueno es que el dulce era un poco grande y se partió en la mitad para ambos, donde todo estaba fresco y la crema tenía buen sabor, el pan suave y todo estaba muy rico. Era un dulce que lo hicieron en otra presentación, puesto que eso ya lo había probado ahí mismo y siempre quedó satisfechos y contento por esa gran calidad que ofrecen. Nos quedamos allí un rato mientras terminábamos, y notamos como muchas personas entran y salen de esa gran cafetería.
To continue and I couldn't leave without trying some of those sweets, we ordered one for the two of us, which was a sweet bread that had pastry cream with some arequipe on top, thus achieving a great combination of sweet flavors. The good thing is that the sweet was a bit big and it was split in half for both of us where everything was fresh and the cream tasted good, the bread was soft and everything was very tasty. It was a sweet that they made in another presentation, since they had already tasted it right there and they were always satisfied and happy for the great quality they offer. We stayed there for a while while we finished, and we noticed how many people go in and out of that big cafeteria.
Una vez que todo listo, venía el momento más difícil, pagar, pero esta vez quise brindarle a mi mamá, así que yo me encargue de esos y fui a la caja a pagar y esperar a que me entregaran la factura. De esa manera concluimos nuestra parada en la cafetería Monagas, donde nunca me cansaré de ir y disfrutar de esas comidas, postres, café y todo lo que ofrecen, además ese desayuno valió la pena y ahora teníamos caminar un poco más rápidos, ya que el sol no estaba nada agradable.
Así que amigos, si ustedes se encuentran por aquí por Maturín y necesitan ir a disfrutar de buen café o reunirse con alguien, les recomiendo esa gran cafetería en cualquiera de sus dos sedes y la van a pasar de maravilla y no olvides aprovechar los días donde hacen primos y ver que los precios son increíbles y muy accesibles. Once everything was ready, the most difficult moment came, paying, but this time I wanted to give my mom a toast, so I took care of those and went to the cash register to pay and wait for them to give me the invoice. In this way we concluded our stop at the Monagas cafeteria, where I will never tire of going and enjoying those meals, desserts, coffee and everything they offer, also that breakfast was worth it and now we had to walk a little faster, since the sun was not pleasant at all.
So friends, if you are here in Maturín and you need to go enjoy a good coffee or meet someone, I recommend this great cafeteria in any of its two locations and you will have a wonderful time and don't forget to take advantage of the days where they have cousins and see that the prices are incredible and very accessible.
