Ketogenic Diet Real Life Trial - Update #5 and RESTEEM DRAW

Hey everyone!

Its been a few days since I've had a chance to update you on my progress with the Keto diet.

Man am I ever doing well with this now that the data is coming in and I'm starting to see actual tangible results!

For the first couple weeks, it was hard to tell what was taking place internally with the transition to ketosis. Stepping on the scale reflected a small amount, but otherwise everything felt as usual.

Finally, this week I have started to notice that I feel less hungry, have just as much or more energy even when I forget to go to sleep early, and overall, I just feel great! It definitely has to do with the systemic weight being lifted from the body constantly having to process sugars and carbs.

Now that I look much more closely at labels than ever before, there's one thing that is obvious to me. The western diet secretly accumulates dangerous levels of carb intake even when you eat semi healthy. For instance, take a seemingly innocent can of primo pasta sauce. It seems pretty healthy compared to cinnamon toast crunch yes?

Upon deeper analysis, there is 23 grams of carbs in 1/4 cup of sauce! Now I know that if you only ate that it's not really all that bad, but you're about to throw that onto pasta which is nearly 100% carbs! Just a single meal like this fulfills you're RDI for carbs as set out by governments (which are questionable at best). I understand that what I am doing is quite extreme compared to "healthy macro numbers" but even still, I believe any regular human who isn't a pro athlete can more than adequately sustain life on about 50-100g of carbs a day total.

The typical diet is 3-5x more than it should be due to these hidden carbs in foods that look healthy.

The absolute hardest thing that I've encountered throughout this trial is sauces. We normally use all kinds of things to spruce up dishes from ketchup and BBQ sauces to marinades, spreads, you name it. If you truly want to eat low carb, you have to remove all of these things which means you are left with only the bitter, sour or bland things and raw spices. Massive amounts of sugars are hidden within these types of condiments we enjoy that add to the epidemic factors.

Physically, I am now seeing the weight drop off my body although I am not taking measurements to see the change, but it is obvious just by looking in the mirror. FYI, I still haven't gotten around to working out on any constant basis so this is all happening just due to diet alone. I feel like I am somehow cheating life!

For anyone struggling with all kinds of nutrition/working out/body composition, I highly recommend trying this type of diet if you are used to seeing very little results no matter what you try. As long as you can discipline yourself enough to stay away from bad foods and become more aware by reading labels and analyzing, you can do this and you will see real results for once.

That said, I know this type of diet is not for everyone. Some people would fair much better cutting out meat and dairy than others but we are all built differently. I believe this is the absolute answer to people who pack on weight eating carbs and/or have a hereditary history of diabetes and weight issues. I can only imagine the repair that is happening inside my cells now and the rejuvenation taking place in the pancreas.

That's all for now, but I look forward to keeping you all up to date with this.

You know, I started the trial under the assumption that I'd last the two weeks set out in the plan and then go back to eating my regular horrible diet!

Well, I don't think that is going to happen since the proof is in the pudding. No matter what anyone says or thinks regarding if this is right or wrong to do, I cannot be deterred anymore since eating "healthy" never worked for me and this diet so far has completely changed me.

Thank you all for your continued overwhelming support!

Cheers,

Chris
