Pav Bhaji Recipe - Mumbai Style Pav Bhaji

Hello Steemians, Today I am sharing with you quick and easy recipe of mouth tempting fast food of India. Any guesses. I am talking about Pav Bhaji. Pav Bhaji is a fast food dish from Maharashtra, India, consisting of a thick vegetable curry, fried and served with a soft bread called Pav. The dish originated in the 1850s as a fast lunchtime dish for textile mill workers in Mumbai. Pav Bhaji was later served at restaurants throughout the city. Pav Bhaji is now served at outlets from simple handcarts to formal restaurants in India and Abroad.Have a look on ingredients.
INGREDIENTS:-
Potato- 2
Carrot- 1
(Boil them in pressure cooker for 2 whistles on medium flame).
Chopped Green Chilli- 2
Grated ginger- 1 inch
Finely chopped onion- 2
Chopped tomato- 3
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder- 2 Tsp
Pav Bhaji Masala- 2 Tsp
salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
Butter- 2 Tsp
Cooking Oil- 1 Tsp
Pav( bread)- 4 slice

FOR BHAJI:-
Mash all the boiled vegetables. Turn on the flame and heat a pan. Add butter and oil. Let it heat. Add green chilli, ginger and garlic paste. Fry it for a minute on a medium flame. Add chopped Onion and fry the Onion till it becomes little soft . Mix it and fry it on a medium flame for a minute. Add chopped Tomato and Salt. Cover the pan and cook it for a minute on medium flame. Mash the Onion and Tomato. Add Kashmiri Red Chilli powder and Pav Bhaji masala powder. Mix it and cover the pan and cook it for a minute. Add the boiled and mashed vegetable.Mix it.Mash it again. Now add plain water. Cover the pan and cook it for 2min on low flame.
FOR TEMPTING:-
Heat a tadka pan add oil and let it heat. Add Kashmiri Red Chilli powder in hot oil. Pour the Red Chilli tadka on bhaji for nice and rich colour. Stir it. Cover the pan for a minute for good colour.
Heat a Tava, add Butter. Place the pan on butter one by one. Lightly toast it from both sides. Turn off the flame and take out the toasted Pav on a plate.Our Pav Bhaji is ready to serve. Enjoy the authentic taste of Pav Bhaji.
