Sundays are for...

Active Rest Days and Mobility Work

Ever since this dang nerve/shoulder/neck issue I have been experiencing since last week, I have had nothing but time to do excessive cardio, and a lot of rehab for not only my shoulder, but all of my muscles and joints.

Before all this happened, my weekends were usually filled with active rests day anyways. Active rest days are basically a "rest" day from training at the gym but still doing light exercise (biking, yoga, swimming, racketball) to help enable the recovery process so you're gym-ready the next week.

So now that I have had to give my body some TLC, I utilized my weekend by jog/hiking, racketball (left handed) and stretching which I hope to incooperate more now on a daily basis; even outside of the gym and not because I'm a gimp right now. πŸ˜…

After my activities today I focused on my mind-to-muscle connection and made sure I felt the right muscle being stretched as I performed each position.

My flexibility game needs some work, but man did it hurt so good.

Definitely need to make this a Sunday Ritual. What better way to take on the week then some lengthened and eager muscles! πŸ€—
