Criminology is the body of knowledge regarding crimeas as a social Phenimenon.It includes within its scope the processes of making law, of breaking laws,and of reacting toward thw breaking of laws.
Criminology consists of three principle divisions as follows:
(a) The sociology of law,which is an attempt at scientific analysis of the conditions under which criminal law develop
(b)Criminal ethology,which is an attempt at the scientific analysis of the causes of crime, and
(c)Penology,which is concerned with the control of crime.
The objective of criminology is the development of a body of general and verified principle and of other type of knoedge regarding this process of.law, crime ,and treatment or provention.
In addition ,crimiology is concerned with the immediate application of crime .
Criminology is.comcerned with the causes of crime ,and comprises(a)criminal biology ,which investgate causesof criminality which investigates causes of criminality which may be found in the mental and physical constitution of deliquent himself.
(b) criminal socialogy ,Which deals with enquires into the effects od enviroment a cause of criminality.
