Some storm surf in Long Beach. Pretty unusual considering there is breakwater that blocks most swells. When wind waves come up from the south they do sneak in. Not any good for surfing and the water is

First let me say it was really windy and cold out on the pier ☃️ It had just hailed and the sky cleared up enough to see out to the mountains. Probably the most snow ever. For sure the most I've ever seen.

I love it when it does this. The wind was blowing hard and the clouds were moving quickly. The sun would be bright on some places and dark on others. Pretty cool.

I went on Surfline to see what the storm is up to along the coast near me. 34 mph gusts at the Wedge in Newport. There are probably stronger gusts than that. Huntington Beach pier Seal Beach Pier 37mph

It's just after midnight here in Long Beach California and boy have we got a windstorm howling.
Since it's dark and sand is flying everywhere I thought I would take a little surf check on Surfline since there's no way I'm going out the beach right now. All these images are from Surfline. Wind gusts
