The art of getting the right balance
The art of getting the right balance
I just counted, I have over 20 draft posts in my folder. Normally I upload photos to the editor first, that helps me to structure what I want to write. Then it takes me ages to write the entire post. I'm

Waiting… my least favourite allergy 🙄
Waiting… my least favourite allergy 🙄
You know what has to happen. You know it. It’s just a matter of speeding up and crossing the finish line… or waiting for the road to bring you those flashes in which time turns into an animal, a shadow,

I said No. Why crash out?
A few months ago, someone came around my workplace. It was a weekend, official duties ended the day before, meaning my boss wasn't around. He had been around for a while, as our workplace is a workspace.

I reached a milestone recently, while it's not much to talk about, it got me thinking and well, guess there's more to say about it than I initially thought. I reached 33k subscribers recently, probably

Plain Words
I started my new job November 10. I've not met a person there that I don't like. The work itself is easy, but very demanding mentally. I have been getting up at between 4:30AM and 5:20AM since November

Sleep Left Me, TikTok Took Over and Love Let Me Down
I was never a morning person, until a few months ago, when I started waking up at 3 a.m. for absolutely no reason. Not that I have any alarms on, I wouldn’t dare because those apple alarms are seriously

What's Up There
What's Up There
Just pen it down, up there isn't sticky enough to retain much of what comes to it. I don't know, it's a bit of a stretch for me to write incoherent train of thoughts in my head and have them filed in mental

FICTION: The Correspondence
FICTION: The Correspondence
The letter box was stuffed with matter. As the rain pelt down after the long drive home, I was surprised that the parcel of letters and documents wasn't just a homogeneous blob of form, a kind of paper

The day I heard my heart
A body. My body. I am within it, I am it, and I am experiencing it, and through it, I can also experience the world. Others experience the world through their own bodies, and when our bodies come into

Bathtub. Pizza. Ritual. Trauma.
Bathing is such a strange and vulnerable thing. You throw yourself in the water, and can't do much else but think. Sure, you can read a book, look at a candle, listen to music, close your eyes, but I did

Unlike some of my friends, I do not go to see the Ocean to worship its watery depths on a regular basis. I see it sparingly, by necessity, or by travelling from one place to another. It is only infrequently

In the constructed world, we are surrounded by instructions and warnings. They're literally called signs. Sometimes, I try to find humour in the literal meaning of something like Mind the Gap. But that's

Determinism and Creativity and why we're so fuzzy
Human creation, like this very text, is the output of a complex network of chemicals, reactions, re-reactions, electrical signals, and whatever it is that compels me to write this sentence. I can't describe

Today, the sun blazed away in the sky, just like any other day. It tried to burn me, to coax sweat from my body, and to get me to surrender from the outdoors to within, but I defied. I assert my rights

Art is a Threat
Art is a Threat
Art endures. We have seen cave paintings from thousands of years ago. We know about the pieces that are closely guarded and constantly preserved and restored in galleries. Art shows us what the world was
