today I'd like to share with you some things I am long or short.
In investment parlance "long" means that I bet money on something rising, e.g. "I am long Apple" means I own stocks of Apple thinking that it will rise. "I am short Japan" would mean that I think Japan will decline and that I sell the Nikkei short (wiki) so that I profit if Japan or its equity market index falls. Here I don't see "being long or short" mainly from a financial viewpoint, but more open in the sense of "thinking that something will develop well or will become more important".
Here are some "things" in different categories I am long or short (all in a long to very long term, and all without an explanation):

heute möchte ich eine kurze Liste mit "Dingen" teilen, die ich "long" oder "short" bin.
Im Investmentslang bedeutet "long", dass ich auf einen Anstieg von etwas setze, z.B. "I am long Apple" bedeutet, dass ich Apple-Aktien besitze und davon ausgehe, dass sie steigen werden. "I am short Japan" würde bedeuten, dass ich glaube, dass Japan fallen wird, und dass ich z.B. den Nikkei leerverkaufe (wiki), so dass ich profitiere, wenn Japan oder sein Aktienmarktindex fällt. Hier sehe ich "long oder short" nicht in erster Linie aus finanzieller Sicht, sondern offener im Sinne von "denken, dass sich etwas gut entwickeln oder wichtiger werden wird".
Hier sind einige "Dinge" in verschiedenen Kategorien, die ich long oder short bin (alle langfristig bis sehr langfristig, und alle ohne Erklärung):

hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunas cosas que estoy largo o corto.
En el lenguaje de las inversiones, "long" significa que apuesto dinero a que algo va a subir; por ejemplo, "estoy largo en Apple" significa que poseo acciones de Apple pensando que subirá. "Estoy en corto en Japón" significa que creo que Japón bajará y que vendo el Nikkei en corto (wiki) para beneficiarme si Japón o su índice bursátil caen. Aquí no veo "estar long o short" principalmente desde un punto de vista financiero, sino más abierto en el sentido de "pensar que algo se desarrollará bien o cobrará más importancia".
