People who knows me and my family personally they often say I am mostly like my dad. Well, my first thought is that I am not really like anyone that's what I truly feel like, because I'm a different individual. I have my own personality and way of talking or thinking. Sometimes, my mentality is thought provoking and people often do not understand me. I do not like to follow what someone else is doing, I will just create my own path. But if I had to choose then I would say I am more like my father but not 100%. To be honest, when people tell me that I am like my dad then I would already know the reasons.
Most of the knowledge and ethics I have is because I have learned it from my dad. He has taught me things one by one not all at once. Since, I was growing older he taught me how to be independent, he did not only teach me through words but also with actions. My father is kind, but he is not the same with everyone. Like it varies from person to person and the situation. One thing I appreciate the most about him was that he never raised his voice at me. Like if I do something wrong, he would tell me something quietly and try to make me understand so yeah, he is very much patient with me. On the other hand, he is very strict with my brother I don't know why lol. Also, my mom is is strict with me but softer with my brother, I find it really funny. I think they both have planned it secretly to take turns.
However, I think I am like my dad because I am strong like him. I am not talking about physical strength here, I'm talking about mental strength. I am always straight forward with my words just like my dad. I never liked saying things indirectly because I don't like any sort of drama. Also, I already know where I am going instead of just following others. My dad is the same he has everything planned, but he stays quiet and does his thing. I think I have learned that mindset from him.
But I have been gaining knowledge from my surroundings and explored myself on my own. Like I don't want to show like I'm doing something different it's just that sometimes my thought process does not match with others. Because the way I think is different, I like to do observations before making any statements. Moreover, I have learned many things by my own. So, I do have qualities that made people think that I am just like my dad, it's not a bad thing. Instead, I feel proud about it. But I would still say that I am just like me. Maybe I am a little bit of him but I am also my own person, hehe.
I wonder what people of the Hive think what am I like? Leave your thoughts in the comment section. I would love to read about your opinion.
