This should be my submission for walk challenge initiated and driving by restless @tattoodjay :) But yesterday... to be honest, I was sure I got sick. Especially in the evening, I was feeling really sick. We're living amid constant negative information about covid statistic, and I find it difficult to get rid of the feeling of constant anxiety.
It is therefore all the more important for out health to be out as often as we can. A nice walk and just being in the sun and open air reduce stress and cheer up.
You know what they say, we don't see something that's right in front of us. Recently, a friend of mine wrote on Facebook about a beautiful arboretum, which is located not far from me. Actually, I live in a nice district with 2 parks and a couple of square parks. I used to walk there with my husband, or have a bicycle ride. But I've never heard about an arboretum.
So, the challenge was accepted, and we went in search, on foot. We're having such a mild, warm and nice fall weather that it would be a crime to refuse the opportunity.
Couldn't just pass by these balconies.
I've never walked in this part, always driving. No wonder I've never noticed this small duck lake surrounded with benches.
And these steps look like a route to our destination.
Oh yes, nature now is one of the best photo zones.
Taxus baccata or yew reminded me of Christmas... I was going to make a fantastic trip on Christmas this year. I so much looked forward to it, although my daughter was upset coz it's our small tradition to celebrate Christmas together. Unfortunately, my plans were cancelled just recently. Good news for her.
Berries looks yummy :) And...all parts of the plant except berries are very poisoned. In ancient times, our ancestors made pots from its wood, in which they stored meat for preserving. And if you pour water into such a bowl, it will become poisoned.
I was hungry, and this red unknown berries looked so tempting... But I didn't dare. Fortunately, my hubby got a couple of candies.
The fall days are beautiful but short :) The sun was going down and hiding in the branches and leaves. It's better to go back home before I got really hungry and cold.
A few more shots of a greenhouse. They have few, and plant nursery, but it all looks... a little unkempt. But even this circumstance looks like an advantage in a fall backstage.
Cheers,
