Tapping at his keyboard, Trevor paused briefly to slurp some of his ice-cold Mountain Dew. He’d been at it for two straight hours, hacking into his school’s network to steal the answers to his English exam. His forehead was soaked in sweat, his wristbands sodden with perspiration, his butt crack swampy with… you know what.
“Trevor, food is ready!” A cry from his mother downstairs.
“Not now, Mum!” Trevor scratched his behind and sniffed his fingernails, his nose flaring at the upsettingly disgusting smell.
“Ok sweetie, it’ll be downstairs when you’re ready,” replied his Mum.
Trevor wiped his forehead once more, his wristbands simply moving the sweat around instead of soaking it up. This firewall was the toughest yet. He’d hacked into test nets before with his ‘white-hat’ hacking club, but this was the first time he’d applied his skills to the real world.
