Anne was touched by the outpouring of emotions following the collapse of the newly constructed office block. The government had contracted a local contractor for the said job. Initially most persons kicked against the award of the contract to such a company citing safety concerns. The awarding authority turned deaf ears to such concerns.
Just as they were about to raise the second door of the building the fears of the people came to fruition. Just one more layer on the roof and the building caved in with a very loud sound dragging everything with it..stones, pillars, rods and scaffolds.
No lives was lost in the process for tht building miraculously collapsed in the night with no workers within the environment.
In the morning, people could not believe their eyes due to the level of damage caused. Monies have been wasted and now the building will be reconnected at a heavy costs.
