Well, it has been an arduous journey. I got sick, ended up in hospital for a week, managed to overcome the infection and finally, cleared to go back home!
We had quite a bit of a scare. That infection could have been worse. The tissue could have gotten infected. Necrosis, sepsis, all sorts of sis...
But we are beyond that... all I need to do now is keep taking my anti-biotics and keep the leg dry and covered until a scab forms and of course for that scab to heal... can't wait!
I have another 2 days at home, then I shall be going to work to do office work only as long as I keep my leg up.
And now, to celebrate...
We are having chops tonight! Claire is putting together a wonderful meal for us tonight to celebrate and to be grateful for family!
I have a lot to be thankful for here... privacy... my own bed... seeing my kids... sleeping next to Claire... a cold drink... many things. Some of them simple and others significant.
Some potato wedges and cinnamon carrots!
Well... not going to make this a long post. I am just so happy to be home.
