Hey everyone.
So I need to start blogging more again. I have been thinking about WHY I want to, or WHY I should.
Mainly, I believe that I need to do it for my mental health and a sense of pacing and productivity.
I don't feel like Hive currently is making anyone much money, unless of course, you already have a massive stake in Hive. Sure there are those that have been at it for years and some of those even started at 0 but the point I am making with that statement is that if I post a blog each day of the week and make 10 comments on posts every day, how much money can a person really draw into their bank account after a month?
Better to compound it by powering up HP and building up HBD savings for 12-60 MONTHS and when doing THAT, the money made will be much more significant.
Hive really is not a place someone can do a casual 3-4 posts and expect a lot of cash. I have seen people who do... and I feel like their perspectives must be greatly skewed.
So let's focus on reality and focus on real numbers and motivations.
If money is not the motivation, then what can? Well... the community is one and the other, as mentioned, is the joy of expression. The mental health aspect of writing something, even if nobody reads it.
But of course, this is not a diary in our drawer, this is on the internet, so we share some thoughts as though someone will read them and if they do, we can interact with them.
I think THAT has value. So this will by MY reason for blogging and writing again.
Additionally, because Hive is an ecosystem and because we expect others to read our content, we cannot just write, we must read.
Again, there is an advantage for us to know about - we can write about what we want. And we can read about what we want. So naturally you can choose what it is that you want to spend your time on.
I would suggest a minimum of 2 posts read to every post written but sometimes hard numbers do not work. Some posts need 20mins to read and others take 30seconds. So keep in mind to spend a decent amount of time reading and engaging. (I am saying this to myself as much as to others).
One of the things that I will be blogging about again will be Warhammer 40k of course. We have just gotten a new edition. 11th edition. I will be doing datasheets and Detachments again, but I will go with the 11th edition releases, which means that I will focus right now on Orks (
There are 55 Datasheets and 15 Detachments in Codex Orks for 11th Edition... that is PLENTY to review till October! In fact... I probably do not have enough time to cover it all!... But I will try!
