This is already the second year that I have been unable to spend Christmas and New Year with my family. This time of the year makes me kind of sad as I scroll through their New Year pictures. It is actually my birthday during New Year. I really miss my kids, but unfortunately, I have to work, and filing for a vacation leave just won't make the cut. Besides, I also hate traveling during peak seasons as it is chaotic in the terminals. I'll be home next month, though, and can't wait to take some time off and spend it with my family.
