We started a new year, with many plans and recharged by the moments shared with family and close friends. Perhaps, some took advantage of the occasion and were encouraged to call or write an email, send a message via WhatsApp, make a video call to their friends who had time without communicating or knowing about their lives, or simply sent their good wishes to their close friends.

Today I want to focus on the types of friendship, how beneficial and valuable they are in our lives, those people we consider our confidants, some brothers that life gives us, those to whom we quickly turn to when something happens to us and who are our companions in the good and not so good times, and for whom we should be grateful for their valuable presence in our lives.

As we know, each person is very different from another, and each one brings to the friendship relationship something unique, particular and feeling part of it helps us to feel valued as well. Generally there are people who are discreet, others who are more humorous, romantic, very talkative, in short, a range of qualities that contribute to our well-being, health and emotions.

It is also true that with all friends we do not have the same complicity or confidence to share with them something important that happens or openly express emotions, there are some who meet more often than others, call or write more often, are interested in knowing how they are day by day. However, that does not make the rest of the relationships less valuable or enriching to our social life.

On the one hand we have active friendships, so called because they are active in our lives on a daily basis, almost like family or even considered family, where there is a strong bond of union that makes you share many secrets, deep conversations, joys, sorrows and where you find a helping hand no matter what. Many have friendships from school, and that still last, from the university or others that for things of life have found each other.

On the other hand, there are also passive friendships, so called because of Mark's theory described by Mark Granovetter "The strength of weak ties" which includes all those people with whom we interact daily, such as the neighbor, the grocer, a friend of a family member, in short, people who despite not being in our most intimate circle help us and are shared only on occasion.

This theory has gained importance, especially in these times of technology, where this type of friendships arise many in social networks. There are many people who know each other through the Internet, who like to talk, share, and that we should be open to include them because they can be a bridge to new opportunities, new knowledge, or simply provide us with help on a given occasion.

Especially in these times of pandemic we have seen how it has been of great importance the help of many people close to us and who have given us their helping hand to move forward in difficult times, this platform is also a good way to interact with many members and share valuable information and cultivate friendships.

Well my friends, until here for the moment, thanks for reading!
