Hello
How are you all? I hope we're all healthy.
When I was in elementary school, I often heard the term "nepotism" being shouted by freedom fighters demanding justice from the government. However, at that time, I didn't really understand what nepotism was. As elementary school students, we were not included in the large-scale demonstrations demanding the elimination of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN) from our country, which was considered to be in direct conflict with the country's constitution. KKN stands for (corruption, collusion, and nepotism).

At that time, our country was experiencing rampant nepotism, where power was the primary weapon for appointing family members to institutions without considering the quality and quantity of those individuals. This type of recruitment was highly detrimental to the nation's future and the progress of a country, as expertise and ability were no longer prioritized. The importance of having relatives in an institution ensured smooth entry. This practice was considered to be killing the competence of the nation's children.
Now I realize that the practice of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN) has never disappeared in my country, in fact, it has worsened. In 2026, if you want to apply for a job, you must meet two requirements and you will be accepted immediately, no interview required, no competency test required. If you don't meet these two requirements, your journey will be less smooth. What are these two requirements? The prerequisites are collusion and nepotism. If you have enough money, you will choose collusion, which is an agreement between two people or a third party, and you will pay to smooth your path. If you don't have enough money, you must have relatives in that place, then your path will also be smooth.
The practice of nepotism has been ingrained in our psyche for a long time, making it very difficult to abandon. This practice is carried out from the lower classes to the upper levels. Is nepotism a criminal act? Actually, if someone has expertise and abilities in a field that is highly needed in that place, then nepotism is permissible in my opinion. However, if they don't have the required expertise but are able to enter the place smoothly because of their family, this is a major problem and is considered fraudulent and can be subject to criminal sanctions because it violates state regulations.
I personally really dislike nepotism. I always practice independence for my family. Never rely on your family's name and position. Be independent so you know the true meaning of success. I prefer not to be helped by my family in this matter, because I know being cheated is very painful, so if my abilities don't meet standards. If I'm in a place, then I don't deserve to be there, so I have to move somewhere else or study harder.
Sometimes I'm amazed by those who proudly show off their family members at an institution, saying, "It was so easy for me to get in and be a part of it because my relatives are there." Without realizing it, their words have offended others who worked hard to get in, and they've diminished the reputation of this place as if it were a platform for buying and selling positions.
I apologize if my words have offended others and come across as a bit rude here, because I truly dislike nepotism. It should be eliminated from this country for the sake of progress. Thank you, see you later.
