Nepotism is an obstacle

Corruption and nepotism are the obstacles to the development of the country. Because of corruption and nepotism many suitable candidates don't get the position they deserve. It is unfair to them at the same time. It also means that those positions are being filled with unqualified people. When powerful positions are being taken by the unqualified people, it is expected to see a downfall of the country because power comes with responsibility and those people don't fulfill their responsibility according to their position.

Those people don't understand the value of the position because it's not something they earned by themselves. They don't know how much one needs to struggle to reach the position. It also says that they are not qualified to handle the power of the position for what they get the position. Rather than fulfilling their responsibility, they choose to make the best use of the position for their own benefit as well as for their selfish motive, even if it's harmful for the country. So, I don't think if we consider our country then nepotism cannot bring any benefit.

Can nepotism be considered crime? In most cases I think it can be considered as crime, but in some cases it should not be effective. Suppose if it's something related to our country and the position holds important value for the country, in that case showing favors, obviously creating an obstacle for our country. Such a thing not only discourages those people who make efforts and give their 100% with dedication but also encourages people to take advantage of favors for their own use and it creates discrimination between people depending on power. discrimination always leads to a dead end for a country because it can be a reason of conflict.

When those favored people work with others it creates unsatisfaction between the people and it directly impacts work performance. It’s natural when they see someone get a similar position without making efforts when they come to the position with difficulties. In that case it was kind of unfair to them. They may try to mock those people in the workplace also and that can impact on the work efficiency and it’s not something we want to see in the workplace. So, showing favors using position of workplace is indeed a crime and I believe such kind of crime should deserve punishment. They are the enemy of the country.

Again, their case be a different case if the situation changes. Suppose I own a factory company. In that case whom I select will be fully dependent on me. I can give a job of my company to anyone as I want. In such a case I may choose to select a candidate for job from my relatives. As it’s my company, I won’t choose anyone who is not qualified and bring loss for my company. At least the person should pass minimum qualifications criteria. As I am the owner of the company and whom I select will be my choice and I will bear the consequences if I make wrong decisions and so it should be a crime either. I just feel as long as I don’t do something that harms my country and I bear the consequences for my choice; it should be ok.
