Many people are addicted to the approval of others. It is normal to enjoy others recognizing something good in you, but be careful not to start needing the praise to feel good. It is easy to start depending on the approval of others, to approve oneself. Be clear about what you are, what you do well, and what you do "wrong". From there, approvals are welcome, and criticism or rejection is taken in its correct dimension. Do not be afraid of criticism or rejection. ONLY YOUR THOUGHTS determine your state of mind, ONLY THE OPINION THAT YOU HAVE OF YOURSELF is important. If a critic makes sense, take it. If not, let it go. Be clear that you are worth what you are, not because of what you do or what others think of you.
