Desde peque帽a, mi mam谩 siempre fue candidata a coleccionar plantas, muchas de ellas son los cactus y suculentas, plantas que fundamentalmente se desarrollan en lugares 谩ridos y con escasa agua.
Ella adquiri贸 un gran conocimiento sobre estas especies de plantas, de modo que sabe cu谩ndo se deben regar, c贸mo sembrarlas o trasplantarlas, los cuidados que necesitan, el tiempo que les toma florecer y las variedades que existen.
Siempre que ten铆a una nueva variedad me hablaba sobre ella, las flores que produce y le gustaba investigar sobre sus cuidados.

Una de las especies de cactus que m谩s me gusta es la conocida como Corona de Cristo, que tiene unas flores rojas, a veces combinadas entre rojo y blanco, que son verdaderamente hermosas. De esa variedad tengo unas cuantas en la casa, tanto en el patio como en el jard铆n del portal.
Son plantas que no requieren una atenci贸n exagerada. Para los principiantes en el tema del cuidado de las plantas se recomiendan mucho, porque no se riegan a diario y son muy resistentes, aunque siempre es mejor atenderlas y aprender de ellas.

Ever since I was little, my mother has always been a plant collector. Among her favorites are cacti and succulents, plants that generally grow in arid environments where water is scarce.

Whenever she got a new variety, she would tell me about it, the flowers it produces, and how much she enjoyed researching the best ways to care for it.
She has even gifted me several of these plants, which I now have in my backyard. The truth is that, after a few years, we have been able to enjoy their beautiful flowers. They come in different shapes, and each cactus has its own unique characteristics. Their colors are gorgeous, and it is wonderful to see how, after receiving so much care, they make the entire place even more beautiful.
One of my favorite cactus varieties is the one known as Crown of Christ, which produces beautiful red flowers, sometimes with a combination of red and white. I have several of these plants at home, both in the backyard and in the garden near the front porch.
These plants do not require excessive attention. They are highly recommended for beginners who are interested in plant care because they do not need daily watering and are very resilient. However, it is always better to give them proper attention and take the time to learn about their needs.
