Forgiveness is a lifestyle that I believe everyone needs in order to remain at peace.
Forgiving someone who has done wrong to you is capable of healing the anger, the hatred, and also freeing your mind from heavy loads, which are caused by the wrongdoing.
The pain in particular may not heal instantly because healing is something that needs time to process. So before a person can get relief completely, that individual needs to create a distance between the two, especially if the wound is very deep.
Because once you forgive someone and the person is always around, it will keep reminding you of the experience, and once that happens, you may have a flashback that will replay those bad days of the same incident.
So, creating that gap, that distance between you both will help you heal faster from the pain. I am not a psychologist, nor a scientist. I am just someone who has experienced so much pain, and I know how to get it out of my mind and also get rid of the loads and all the busy thoughts, because all of those bad days add nothing good to me except pain.
Also, they appear as a reminder of the past instead of allowing me to focus on the present.
For you to completely heal from pain caused by wrongdoing from others, it doesn't actually happen easily because healing is something that needs time. And this time depends on how deeply or badly the damage has caused already. And I strongly believe that forgiveness can heal every wound, but not instantly. This is because some wounds need time, much time, before they can heal completely.
In addition, once pain comes, try to see it as a lesson to learn about the world we are living in and also something to understand about life itself. I believe that with this we grow confident enough to handle more life betrayals or any life challenge.
