When I first got started on Splinterlands, I got my ass whooped big time by guys who had this ability, but I had no idea what it was, a part of me just thought I was being cheated, until recently. I can't get enough of them.
Monsters with the Blast Ability have anger issues to me. They hate their opponents so bad so they have to hit 2 at the same time, it's priceless.
The Battle
For this battle, there was a lot of freedom with 99 mana cap, I had the leverage of getting all my top-shelf cards involved in the fun, but after several experiences, I realized that's not always the best option. I still have some fun with it sometimes though.
All shields were taken out, due to the rule, so some of my guys were less protected, but that didn't stop us though lol.
My Cards
For my first portion, using the Fire Summoner, I made use of my favourite guy LIVING LAVA. This guy has the Shield ability so he has reduced damage from malee and ranged attackers. I use this particular card often. He happens to be one of my favourite guys' coz of how strong it is and hits from this card reduce the life of the opponent by 3 and sometimes 4. He's a beast!
In the second position, I had Molten Ogre
I can't say I have explored the demoralize ability of this card, but he sure does a whole lot of damage. And the fact that he's a threat to other malee attackers, that just makes me love this card. Plus, I only used this card because of the liberty of the mana cap, I don't normally go for this card in the first instance. And yeah, it's only in the second position because I anticipated a blast card from my opponent and I needed a card that could take the blows, just in case. And I needed to save my third position for...
This guy doesn't do much until he gets his spotlight in the first position, but since I placed my second position guy as a sacrificial lamb, I needed a really strong back up just in case. He sure as hell came in handy. He hits hard and shows no mercy.
This here was a gift from my Splinterlands mentor . And he's a fucking beast!
Asides this card's inability to be useful in the first position, expected as it's a ranged card, I feel fulfilled whenever I get to use it to its full potential. Sadly this guy was short-lived, he was the second to get taken out in the third round, right after Living Lava in the second round. But he did some damage to the other guys before that mean gut with the Snipe ability took him out. He was missed, but his early demise was not in vain, thank God.
I don't exactly get to use this particular card very often, but I use a very close replacement,
Now, this guy may not have as much life as Pyromancer but he sure as hell does a lot of damage. Plus, he's a whole lot faster.
I use either one of these guys as one as the rules permit. This ability is so necessary for my battle wins that I have to use Fire Elemental in those battles with really low Mana Caps, that's exactly how much I love them.
The other guys I used in this winning battle were
Fifth Position
I fell in love with this Magic guy when someone else beat my ass real bad with him, yes I learn a lot from getting my ass whooped. But you see, I still learn.
I love how calm this guy seems, in my eyes though, but he's a freaking cheat lol. And I love a good cheat any day.
Finally, in the last position, I had Ettin Spearman
Here's another card I don't get the privilege of using often enough, but he sure is a beast.
In Summary
Like most @Splinterland battles, they often feel lost when we lose our first position, maybe not for others, but this felt like a loss for me when I lost Living Lava. But I had other back up first position worthy guys. I guess I kind of had it all planned out.
To me, this felt like a lucky win, but I guess it wasn't. When given the opportunity, I use Fire Summoner very often, that's where my best cards are so I don't take it for granted, Death Splinter to me is almost an obvious loss. Hey, that's my opinion at this tender stage.
I guess I had a really good line up with strong hitters.
The battle was over in the 6th round, and it felt good.
Next time, I'll have to work on playing cards in positions where they can be useful for the beginning part of the battle, this will prevent early loss of great guys before the battle even gets more fun.
I'm super glad I won though.
