Right when we were at the gym entrance, our rival showed up challenging us to a battle, and of course, we had to test our strength before facing new challenges, so we went all out.
The match started with their Xatu against our Torkoal. It was genuinely the most challenging battle, because after that we were able to chain a series of pretty easy knockouts thanks to the sunny day this Pokémon set up and Shaimen's Solar Beam.
Then, neither Arcanite nor Rampardos were a match for Empoleon, and Granbull fell to our Fire-type Pokémon, thus completing a sweeping victory. Now, all that's left is to challenge this city's gym—how will we do? Well, we'll find out soon enough.
