It is raining

Hello community:

It's raining and I have no choice but to go to work. I take umbrella in hand and get ready to go out. First I have to choose an appropriate outfit for this day which will be very wet, as the weatherman has announced.

I go to get some comfortable clothes that can get wet and then change when I reach the safe harbour. In my bag is a change of clothes that I will put on when I dry.

I chose a pair of rubber flip-flops. Yes, to go out on the street. The puddles on the pavement are as deep as their holes. I have no power to float on water, so my feet will sink and disappear before my eyes in the stained avenue of water-diluted earth.

Once I am past this stage, I will set sail on my office dock, clean myself and remove all the dirty clothes, dampened by the effect of the wind blowing the water up to my body.

I prepare myself for a good day and so it shall begin. If my body is healthy and clean I will be able to perform and generate a good working day.

How have you been doing on days like this? Do you go out in rubber flip-flops?

Llueve y no tengo otra opción que ir a trabajar. Tomo paraguas en mano y me dispongo a salir. Antes debo elegir un atuendo apropiado para este día que estará muy húmedo, lo ha anunciado el señor del parte del tiempo.

Fui a por ropa cómoda que pudiera mojarse para luego cambiarme llegado a puerto seguro. En mi bolso va un cambio de ropa que pondré cuando me seque.

He elegido un par de chancletas de goma. Sí, para salir a la calle. Los charcos en el pavimento son hondos tal cual sus huecos. No tengo poderes para flotar sobre el agua, así que mis pies se hundirán y desaparecerán ante mi vista en la teñida avenida de tierra diluida en agua.

Una vez que sobrepase este estadío, zarparé en el muelle de mi oficina, me limpiaré y quitaré toda la ropa sucia, humedecida por el efecto del viento que soplará el agua hasta mi cuerpo.

Me preparo para un buen día y así deberá empezar. Si mi cuerpo está sano y limpio estaré en condiciones de poder rendir y generar una buena jornada laboral.
