Empieza hoy. Permítete ser tu propia causa primera.

Estas son mis prioridades emocionales.

¿Y las tuyas cuáles son?

ENGLISH

We live intoxicated by the noise of the urgent, and almost always, the urgent (work, obligations, other people's expectations) steals the vital space from what is important (your peace, your rest, your essence). But there is an inescapable biological truth that haste cannot silence: your body hears every silent cry of your soul.

alt

When you prioritize external approval over your rest, your nervous system goes into overdrive. When you hold a grudge or demand unattainable perfection, your immune system suffers. Elevated cortisol is not a laboratory abstraction; It's that chest tightness that you normalized, the insomnia that you tolerate, and that chronic fatigue that you attribute to normal stress. Your unlived emotions become entrenched in your fascia; Your unspoken fears speed up your heart rate. Prioritizing a toxic emotion like guilt or anticipatory anxiety is, in the long term, the most subtle form of self-destruction.

Therefore, I invited myself and I invite you to stop and hold a mirror in front of your daily life. Ask yourself without filters:

alt

What am I really prioritizing? Not what I say I prioritize, but what I give my first hours of energy and my full attention to. If your health isn't at the top of the list, it's not really anywhere, because without it, everything else (achievements, relationships, material goods) becomes a house of cards that the wind of exhaustion knocks down.

Here is the hardest and most liberating reflection: Setting limits is the greatest act of self-love. Saying no to what drains you emotionally (relationships that only take, comparisons that only hurt, self-criticism that only paralyzes) is saying yes to your longevity. It's not about selfishness, it's about sustainability. If you empty your emotional tank to fill others, you will end up giving out of dryness and resentment. Instead, when you make yourself your number one priority, what you offer to the world is born of abundance and authenticity.

I propose a practical exercise to start recalibrating:
Take a piece of paper and draw two columns. On the left, write the emotions that predominate in your week (anxiety, guilt, joy, peace, frustration). On the right, write the specific action that triggers them. Then, ask the ultimate question: Does this action bring me closer to the version of myself that wants to age with vitality and lucidity, or does it distance me from my well-being?

What does not add to your peace, subtracts from your health. Spot.

Prioritizing your emotions is not a destination you arrive at and that's it; It is a daily practice, almost minute by minute. It is choosing pause over collapse, deep breathing over automatic reaction, and self-compassion over the lash of perfectionism. Take care of your mind as you take care of your diet: purify what you ingest (news, conversations, thoughts) and make sure that your emotional diet is full of gratitude, genuine connection and restorative silence.

alt

Remember: Your body is the infallible thermometer of your emotional management. If it hurts, if you get tired, if you get sick, you are not failing; is talking. Listen to it. Give it the value it deserves, not because it is an instrument to perform better, but because it is the only home you have to live this life.

Only by living well in yourself, can you live well in the world. Start today. Allow yourself to be your own first cause.

These are my emotional priorities.

And what are yours?
