Saludos queridos amigos de la comunidad Hive Pets!
El día de hoy a diferencia de lo habitual no vengo a escribir de mis gatos, sino de un perrito a quien desde hace algunos días vengo tratando de una terrible herida, esto en vista de la falta de atención de sus dueños, me vi en la necesidad de hacer algo por mi propia cuenta, pero permítame les cuento todo desde el principio.

Today, unlike usual, I am not writing about my cats, but about a little dog that I have been treating for a few days for a terrible injury, due to the lack of attention from his owners, I felt the need to do something on my own, but let me tell you everything from the beginning.
Mis vecinos son los dueños de este perrito que muestro, su nombre es Clover, mis vecinos están pasando por una situación algo compleja por la enfermedad de una de sus miembros y aunque no los excuso por completo por el descuido de su mascota, logró ser empática con este hecho. Cuando me di cuenta de la herida del perrito fue una noche de la semana pasada y no estaba segura de la gravedad por la oscuridad y solo lo vi desde lejos, pero durante la semana logré ver al perro en otras ocasiones y me percate de la gravedad de la herida.
My neighbors are the owners of this little dog that I show, his name is Clover, my neighbors are going through a somewhat complex situation due to the illness of one of their members and although I do not excuse them completely for the neglect of their pet, I managed to be empathetic with this fact. When I first became aware of the dog's injury it was one night last week and I wasn't sure how serious it was because it was dark and I only saw it from a distance, but during the week I managed to see the dog on other occasions and I realized how serious the injury was.
En si la herida no era demasiado grande, pero ya habían crecido en la herida mucho gusanos y podía ver el sufrimiento del animal intentando alcanzarse la herida lo cual es imposible pues la tiene en el costado derecho de su cuello, el rascaba desesperadamente y lo oía llorar por el dolor, la mañana del sábado ya me sentía muy mal por la impotencia de ver al animalito sufrir, así que asistí a la veterinaria y le consulte el problema de la mascota, me vendió un envase con dos cc de ivermectina, un medicamento para tratar parásitos. La recomendación de la experta fue vacunarlo con esta dosis, pero yo no me sentí capaz de hacerlo, entonces me dijo que era suficiente con aplicarlo directamente en la herida.
The wound itself was not too big, but already had grown in the wound a lot of worms and I could see the suffering of the animal trying to reach the wound which is impossible because it is on the right side of his neck, he was scratching desperately and I heard him crying because of the pain, Saturday morning I felt very bad because of the helplessness of seeing the animal suffer, so I went to the vet and asked her about the problem of the pet, she sold me a bottle with two cc of ivermectin, a drug to treat parasites. The recommendation of the expert was to vaccinate him with this dose, but I did not feel able to do it, so she told me that it was enough to apply it directly to the wound.

Así lo hice, use 1 cc para aplicarlo en la herida, pero sentí que lo solté muy rápido y se sacudió el medicamento, fue entonces que decidí colocarle el segundo cc, pero tome valor y se lo inyecte directamente en la piel de su glúteo, con esta acción me sentí muy feliz esto mataría satisfactoriamente a los gusanos y herida sanaría, pero ahí no acaba todo era necesario sacar los gusanos muertos para que la herida se cicatrizara rápido.
So I did, I used 1 cc to apply it in the wound, but I felt that I released it too fast and the medicine was shaken, it was then that I decided to place the second cc, but I took courage and injected it directly into the skin of his buttock, with this action I was very happy that this would successfully kill the worms and the wound would heal, but that's not all, it was necessary to remove the dead worms so that the wound would heal quickly.

En este punto hablé con los dueños y me ofrecí a ayudar también en la labor de bañar a Clover, pero fui ignorada no tuvieron la disposición para ayudarme, yo logre sacar solo algunos todo cuanto me permitió el animal, quien a pesar de ser muy dócil ya estaba mostrándome sus colmillos, era obvio que estaba sufriendo.
At this point I talked to the owners and offered to help also in the work of bathing Clover, but I was ignored, they were not willing to help me, I managed to remove only a few as much as the animal allowed me, who despite being very docile was already showing me his fangs, it was obvious that he was suffering.
Y así llegamos al día de hoy... lo vi muy temprano cuando salí a limpiar la caja de arena de Rubén y me acerque a ver su herida, allí fue cuando me di cuenta que tenía más larvas pequeñas y queresas de mosca alrededor de toda la herida, podrán imaginar mi terror al ver esto, se lo rápido que crecen y pude imaginar al animal mucho peor que antes, como pude retire todos los huevos, pero también tenía larvas pequeñas y tambien de los primeros gusanos aún en la herida, tanto como me lo permitió el animal retire lo que pude y la aplique agua oxigenada en la herida. Como imaginaran mi rabia se elevo a niveles estratosféricos.. mis primeros esfuerzos para salvar la vida del animal se venían al suelo nuevamente en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, aunque mentiría si les digo que no lo esperaba.
And so we arrived to today.... I saw it very early when I went out to clean Ruben's litter box and I approached to see his wound, that's when I realized that he had more small larvae and fly larvae around the wound, you can imagine my terror when I saw this, I know how fast they grow and I could imagine the animal much worse than before, as I could I removed all the eggs, but I also had small larvae and the first worms still in the wound, as much as the animal allowed me to remove what I could and applied hydrogen peroxide to the wound. As you can imagine my rage rose to stratospheric levels... my first efforts to save the animal's life went down again in the blink of an eye, although I would be lying if I told you that I didn't expect it.

Hoy me sentí muy desilusionada de mis vecinos, pero seguía empeñada en salvar a Clover, fue por eso que hablé con mis más cercanos amigos para obtener apoyo, uno de ellos me recomendó hablar con una fundación para reubicar el animal (opción que aún considero), pero mi compañera de casa que iba a salir al centro de la ciudad se ofreció a buscar un medicamento llamado lepecid, un spray que se usa para combatir la miasis cutánea (lombrices) tal como lo indica en las instrucciones abajo (adjunto foto del frasco con las instrucciones de uso, como esta en portugués hice use de la aplicación de Google, Lens para traducir).
Today I felt very disappointed with my neighbors, but I was still determined to save Clover, that's why I talked to my closest friends to get support, one of them recommended me to talk to a foundation to relocate the animal (an option I still consider), but my housemate who was going downtown offered to get a medicine called lepecip, a spray that is used to combat cutaneous myiasis (worms) as indicated in the instructions below (attached photo of the bottle with the instructions for use, as it is in Portuguese I used the Google application, Lens to translate).
Efectivamente mi amiga consiguió el producto en un total de 6$ que aún debo cancelar, pero antes que nada mi prioridad fue la de atender a Clover rápidamente lo encontré en la calle, y aplique una primera dosis en la herida, pero no logré atinar del todo y el perro se escabulló, luego con ayuda de los vecino logré traerlo de vuelta y esta vez aplique una abundante dosis en la herida.
Indeed my friend got the product for a total of 6$ that I still have to pay, but first of all my priority was to take care of Clover, I quickly found him in the street, and I applied a first dose in the wound, but I could not get it right and the dog slipped away, then with the help of the neighbors I managed to bring him back and this time I applied a generous dose in the wound.

El día termino bien para mi aunque adquirí una nueva deuda, solo puedo sentirme feliz por haber logrado aplicar este producto tan necesario en la herida de Clover. Este es un post muy largo pido disculpas a todos, seguiré al tanto del progreso de animal para mostrarles su mejoría!
