| Hello, friends! Spring has arrived! Today is March 7, meaning the first week of spring has passed. I decided to take a walk in the forest to check if Sarcoscypha or Auricularia auricula-judae (Judas’ ear) had appeared. These mushrooms usually grow in the same spots every spring when the forest is still moist after winter. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any this time, likely because this winter had very little snow. Although some snow fell, it wasn’t enough to keep the forest damp, and the recent sunny days have dried up the remaining moisture. The forest looks dry, the soil under the trees has hardened, and there’s no sign of dampness—so no mushrooms have sprouted. Still, I decided to explore the forest near the trail in hopes of finding something for today's post—after all, it’s Mushroom Friday! Eventually, I came across a few Polyporaceae fungi growing on an old elder tree where Judas’ ear used to appear. It’s hard to identify the exact species—it could be Fomes fomentarius, Fomitopsis pinicola, or perhaps something from the Perenniporia genus. I simply took a few photos and am sharing them with you! | Привіт, друзі! Настала весна! Сьогодні вже 7 березня, тобто перший тиждень весни минув. Я вирішив прогулятися до лісу й перевірити, чи не з’явилися там саркосцифи (Sarcoscypha) або юдині вуха, відомі як аурикулярія вухоподібна (Auricularia auricula-judae). Ці гриби завжди ростуть майже в тих самих місцях навесні, коли після зими в лісі багато вологи. Але, на жаль, цього разу я їх не знайшов. Думаю, причина в тому, що зима була майже без снігу. Тобто сніг був, але його випало дуже мало, як для нашого клімату, через що вологи в лісі також обмаль. Оскільки останні кілька днів сонце світить інтенсивніше, воно висушило ті залишки вологи, що ще були. Ліс виглядає дуже сухим, земля під деревами також пересохла — жодного натяку на вологу. Відповідно, гриби не виросли. Проте я вирішив оглянути ліс біля стежки, де був, у надії знайти хоч якісь гриби для сьогоднішнього допису. Адже все ж таки грибна п’ятниця, як не як! У результаті натрапив на старій бузині, де зазвичай росли юдині вуха, на кілька трутовиків (Polyporaceae). Точно визначити вид складно: це може бути трутовик справжній (Fomes fomentarius), трутовик облямований (Fomitopsis pinicola) або якийсь інший, наприклад із роду Perenniporia. Я просто зробив кілька фото й ділюся ними з вами! |
