Always surprised and happy with our finds [Esp/Eng].

Hola a todos los que siempre siguen esta hermosa ¨FungiFridayCommunity¨:   Si bien es verdad que nos encanta cuando damos con preciosos hongos en las calles de la ciudad, buscarlos en la reserva es una experiencia única.

Hello to everyone who follows this wonderful ¨FungiFridayCommunity¨:   While we certainly love stumbling upon beautiful mushrooms on city streets, searching for them in the nature reserve is a unique experience.

Tal como les comenté, el predio tiene varios caminos que te llevan a diferentes lugares de la reserva, y aunque es verdad que aquellos que te llevan al fondo del terreno no son muy buenos dado que no hay tanta variedad, las que hay siempre son preciosas, como lo es esta ¨especie¨:  

As I mentioned, the property has several paths leading to different parts of the reserve. While it's true that the trails leading to the far end of the grounds don't offer a huge variety of specimens, the ones you do find are always beautiful—like this "species": 

Por lo antes mencionado, la verdad es que no estábamos convencidas con mi abuela al momento de abordar el sendero que las interna en lo profundo del predio, aunque fue muy bueno seguir nuestro instinto, ya que dimos con este ¨genero¨ :  que pocas veces lo vimos, y hace bastante tiempo no damos con ellos.

For the reasons mentioned above, my grandmother and I weren't entirely convinced about taking the path that leads deep into the property. However, following our instincts turned out to be a great idea, as we stumbled upon this "genus":  one we had rarely seen before and hadn't come across in quite some time.

De los tres hongos que encontramos esta semana, creo que esta ¨especie¨:  es la que más conocemos, pero que en los últimos meses no los estábamos encontrando. Estas especies son buscadas porque se puede preparar alguna receta con ellas, pero además sirven para tratar algunas afecciones.

Of the three fungi we found this week, I believe this "species":  is the one we are most familiar with, though we hadn't come across it in recent months. These species are sought after because they can be used in recipes, but they also serve to treat certain ailments.

Sé que muchos pueden llegar a pensar que el predio no es tan grande, y que caminar siempre por allí puede ser reiterativo y tedioso, pero déjame decir que las veces que los visitamos hallamos especies que nos sorprenden al estar frente a ellas, y sobre todo al momento de fotografiar con el ¨teléfono¨ : ¨Movil¨ de mi abuela. Siempre muy feliz de caminar hasta allí y descubrir las especies hermosas que la reserva tiene preparadas para nosotros.

I know many might think the property isn't that big, and that walking there all the time could become repetitive and tedious, but let me tell you: whenever we visit, we find species that surprise us when we come face-to-face with them—especially when photographing them with my grandmother's phone: her mobile. I am always so happy to walk there and discover the beautiful species the reserve has in store for us.
