"What you ignore grows into a cancer" is a powerful statement and yet it is so true. A cancer is a tumor that develops from some cell or tissue that takes the form on the outside of an organ or tissues. What you ignore grows into a cancer. So if you ignore what you don't like, what you don't do gets done.

Cancer thrives in the body when your life is all about what you don't have. You can't have cancer unless you ignore what you don't like. What you want grows into a cancer. Cancer thrives in a world where what you don't have gets more attention and appreciation than what you do have.

The first step to dealing with a cancer is facing up to what you ignore. Then comes the second step which is to love and be loved. Love and gratitude are the fuel that will create the love and gratitude in your life. When we are in the presence of someone who loves us we feel that all is well and we have found our peace. We ignore the things that don't matter and then we feel peace.

This is where you can stop what you ignore growing into a cancer. When you ignore what you don't like about yourself, then you can grow into a peace that comes from within. When you grow inside peace you will also grow into a happy and positive attitude that will manifest in all areas of your life.

The third step to growing into a happier, more positive attitude is to take time for yourself. We are very physical creatures and our lives are dictated almost entirely by what we do and the people we work with. Taking time for yourself allows you to grow into a state of peace and abundance.

Now, I know what you're thinking, what about those things that you really don't like about yourself? Don't they still have something to say? Of course they do! You need to continue to cultivate your strengths and ignore your weaknesses. When what you ignore grows into a cancer you will face incredible pain. It will be a painful experience because you will be denying yourself of a great deal.

You must learn to love yourself before you can even hope to grow beyond what you ignore. The first step is to believe with all your heart that you have everything to offer, that you are unique and you are special. Once you have this belief you will begin to see the beauty in even the ugliest or tiniest things. As you cultivate this beauty you will find that what you ignore no longer pesters you, instead, it will be welcomed and you will find yourself smiling and feeling confident. Your new attitude will reflect in your behavior and you will begin to see the person that you want to become.

Cancer is a very personal condition, so if you learn how to love yourself before you try to ignore what you ignore it will take less time to heal. I believe that it took me a very long time to figure out that the best way to grow and heal was to ignore all of the negative stuff. Once I realized this I was able to turn all of my negativity into potential growth. As your cancer progresses I encourage you to follow the same advice I followed to help my own healing.

One of the first lessons you must learn is that you can't control what you ignore. When you are living with cancer you focus on every part of your body except for the cancerous cells. I found that when I ignored one part of myself it would bleed, sometimes in clusters, other times it would just be gone for a while. I would find that by not letting the bad parts of me affect me directly I was able to live a more complete life because I didn't get sick as much. My perspective on the world changed drastically.

The next lesson is that you have to love yourself first before you will love others. Cancer is a huge part of who we are, so if we ignore our cancer we will never really be whole. You must learn to trust in your inner knowing and strength of will. You can't allow cancer to control you. Cancer can only hurt you if you allow it to, so start today by loving yourself because it will give you so much strength to fight.

Finally, you must remember that love doesn't always mean a romantic evening or candlelit dinner, although those things are important to some people. Love is the basis of any relationship, and when you lose that love in your life it becomes very difficult to rebuild. Cancer has a tendency to weaken relationships because it attacks the core of who we are. That's why it's important to remember that if you ignore the growth of cancer in your body it will continue to grow. Love yourself enough to accept what you've been given, and then begin the journey toward wholeness.
