Destellos de Cucalambeana [Esp-Eng]
Justo el día del cumpleaños 197 de Juan Cristóbal Nápoles Fajardo (El Cucalambé), mayor poeta bucólico del siglo XIX en Cuba, cerró sus cortinas nuestra Jornada Cucalambeana. No podía ser otra la fecha.
Muchas fueron las emociones compartidas del 28 de junio al 1 de julio a través de exposiciones, canturías, concursos, galas y tantas iniciativas, que tuvieron como centro al Parque Temático, de la provincia cubana de Las Tunas, pero también llegaron hasta algunas instituciones y comunidades de la ciudad.
El talento local, unido a artistas y cultores de tradiciones de otros territorios del país , aficionados y profesionales, dieron lo mejor de sí para que el Guateque Mayor, aún en otra locación, no cambiara su esencia.
Entre los creadores estaba el experimentado repentista camagüeyano Nelson Lima quien, además de mostrar su arte en diversos espacios, fue miembro del jurado del concurso Justo Vega. "La Cucalambeana para mí ha sido un éxito. Dadas las complejidades que vivimos, no pensaba que fuera así cuando venía de Camagüey, pero superó mis expectativas", confesó el hijo de la Ciudad de los Tinajones.
También de esa comarca asistió la escritora Evelin Queipo Balbuena, quien integró el equipo evaluador de los certámenes Canto alrededor del punto y Poesía de Cordel, además de leer sus textos en varias actividades. "Fue una experiencia agradable. Me enfrenté a la glosa desde otra mirada y, a través de la décima humorística, una faceta que amo y cultivo, pude apreciar diferentes maneras de ver la vida. Es mi primera Cucalambeana y me resultó inolvidable", expresó la autora de Prácticas salvajes, Premio Nacional de Poesía José María Heredia (2020).
"Este es un evento mágico. El arte dignifica, nos llega a las venas. No se puede dejar morir", resumió el improvisador tunero Dimitri Tamayo. Como ellos, muchos otros sienten en el pecho la necesaria defensa que amerita, ante cualquier circunstancia, la Fiesta Suprema del Campesinado Cubano. El Cucalambé estaría orgulloso.

Cucalambeana’s Flashes [Eng]
Just on the day of the 197th birthday of Juan Cristóbal Nápoles Fajardo (El Cucalambé), the greatest bucolic poet of the nineteenth century in Cuba, our Cucalambeana Day closed its curtains. It couldn’t be any other date.
There were many shared emotions from June 28 to July 1 through exhibitions, singing, contests, galas and so many initiatives, which had as center the Theme Park, in the Cuban province of Las Tunas, but also reached some institutions and communities of the city.
The local talent, together with artists and cultivators of traditions from other territories of the country, amateurs and professionals, gave their best so that the Guateque Mayor, even in another location, did not change its essence.
Among the creators was the experienced Camagüeyano artist Nelson Lima who, in addition to showing his art in various spaces, was a member of the jury of the Justo Vega contest. "La Cucalambeana for me has been a success. Given the complexities we live through, I didn’t think it was like this when I came from Camagüey, but it exceeded my expectations," confessed the son of the City of the Tinajones.

Like them, many others feel in their chest the necessary defense that deserves, under any circumstances, the Supreme Feast of the Cuban Peasantry. Cucalambé would be proud.
