Who does not know cactus plants? This typical desert plant is famous for its large size, thorns all over the surface, and able to withstand a little water. Now, cactus plants not only can be found in the desert but also in homes. Certainly in a smaller size or commonly referred to as ornamental cactus or often called a mini cactus.

I took this photo when I visited my friend's house and he has some herbal cactus plants. there are two types of cactus that are seen there among
1. Gymnocalycium
Gymnocalycium is one of the ornamental plants of cactus species that have beautiful flowers. We can plant it in small pots.
The name Gymnocalycium is taken from the Greek word which has the meaning of the petals naked. Why is it called naked petals? Because only flower buds that are not covered with thorns at all.
2. Parodia Magnifica
Ball cactus which in its latin name Parodia magnifica is a flowering cactus species originating from southern Brazil. This cactus plant can grow at a height of 7-15 cm. This cactus form consists of many ribs, haired, and produces pale yellow flowers. As the name implies ball cactus, this plant is a species of cactus that has a shape resembling a sphere with thorns around it.
These ornamental cactus plants grow in groups. This cactus does not like to be exposed to direct sunlight, so you have to put it in the shade. The flower of the cactus is very beautiful and has several colors such as red, yellow, and pink.
