The arrival of my little devil who looks like an angel.

In 2024, my beloved and terrible Oddie arrived. We hadn't really planned on adopting a dog anytime soon, since it would only be a year since we lost three pets: two dogs and a parrot. Personally, I didn't feel ready. It wasn't easy losing so many pets in one year, but things happen, and when you have a connection with an animal, that bond seems unbreakable, and it calls to you. Well, this little guy was rescued by someone who supposedly abandoned him along with his dead brother. I say supposedly because my neighbor told me she didn't trust them much and that they didn't know how to care for animals, based on previous experiences. They wanted to keep him, but each time they brought him back, the little one was unconscious, since they weren't paying any attention to him. So I took him with me, and we pretended he was missing, but they didn't care at all.

We were only supposed to be a temporary home for Oddie, but we ended up getting attached to him in less than a day. He stole our hearts. He was so tiny, and my black dog Angela looked after him, and he seemed so much happier. Even though he already had Hercules, they weren't very compatible, and he needed a companion. As soon as I decided to adopt him, I carefully considered my financial situation, since I promised myself that if I adopted again, I would have to be able to afford their vaccinations and take them to the vet regularly. It was a mistake I made with my Chloe, and I wasn't going to let it happen again. Even though I did everything I could to make sure she had everything she needed, I regret not getting her vaccinations.

Anyway, when I first took that little guy in, they weighed him and he was only 800 grams of kibble, he was so cute. And now, he's a big dog weighing 19 kilos and the most terrible dog I've ever had. I looked at these pictures and I wonder why he didn't stay that big 😫. Even so, as spoiled and rude as he is, I love and adore him. I'm so glad he's in my life. He's cheered me up in so many moments, both me and my dog. For example, when I lost my baby Hercules, he was my unconditional support, cheering me up however he could. I think Chloe and Beethoven sent him to me so I wouldn't be so sad about his sudden passing. That's what I choose to believe.
