Hello everyone! I know that the Inktober challenge is over as it has run its course throughout the month of October. But I want to finish what I started. I still have a few more prompts to go and then I'll be done and can then move onto other art challenges or freestyle sketches. I think giving it up now defeats the purpose of the challenge itself as it is mainly to build up the habit of daily sketching.

The prompt for Inktober Day 25 is 'fracture'

I was blur on what to draw for this prompt at first. All I could think of were fractured limbs. But I figured I can also draw a little baby bird hatched from an egg. I love birds and there are multiple birds visiting my window daily. A bird couple brought their baby to my room recently. I immediately noticed it was different as it was smaller and was perching in a weird way. Little baby kept his eyes closed too while making the constant chirping sound while his parents were just there waiting for him to calm. Then on one of the days, they left their baby at my room while they went off to get food I guess. So that's what I drew today. A baby bird.

This is the basic shape of my baby bird. I don't know why it turned out to be pouty. The eyes and beak both matched and my birdy looked like he is posing for a picture. There was a time when such pouty poses and 'duck face' were trending and everyone was posting pictures with the same pouty style. Seems like my birdy wanted to follow the same trend.

I made his head and beak bigger to make him look more babyish. Then I proceeded hoping my little trick will work.

I also drew the eggshell that our little warrior cracked in order to be born. I added some shadows by drawing many cross hatchings in light pressure.

I made some changes in his eye. I tried to make his eye bigger and his skull a little bigger for the second time. I also added another shell and some cracks all over, with additional darker shadows too on both parts of shells. Finally I drew tiny little feathers on his body. This is the final outcome. Let me introduce you the little baby bird just born. I think he is cute!

I still have 6 more drawing prompts to go and I hope to get them all done soon, one at a time. Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a great day ahead!
