Hello everyone! Today is Inktober Day 3 and the prompt for today is 'Miniature'. I drew a miniature fairy house. I have always been fascinated by fairies and at some point, I even thought they're real! I almost got fooled too by a content creator who claimed to be a fairy and how she had concealed her wings. But then I got older and wised up. Still I find the concept of fairies interesting and can't help but feel a little curious of their existence every time I see a video about them being spotted.
A first I didn't know what to draw although I had many ideas. I considered little trains, a match box art, and even a tiny bookshelf that some people use to cope with their stress. Finally I decided to go with a fairy house as it will suit the October magical vibes well. So I drew a mushroom house with a wooden door.
Then, I added more details like some stones all around the door, a little window so the fairy living there can get a view of the outside world, and even a chimney on top. I accidentally drew a streak of smoke but I caught myself before I drew more. I also added a little lamp hanging in front and some base foundation at the bottom.
Since this is supposed to be a miniature, I added a large glass container all around the house so it looks like it is contained in it. I also drew a cork on top to secure everything. This is the kind of miniature I have seen in stores. This is the final outcome, or so I thought.
I wanted to take it to the next level because I really wanted to colour it as it is fairy related. So I brought out all of my highlighters and some colour pencils and coloured my drawing. I used highlighters mostly for the vibrance and colour pencils for larger areas so I can cover more ground, faster and smoother. This is the real final outcome. I know this might seem a little deviated from inktober but I don't think it is set in stone to use only ink.
